Adande: Mom Approves Of LaMarcus Aldridge's Play
Here's one more look at Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge and his mother from J.A. Adande of ESPN.com.
-----------------------------------
"I can be hard on him," she said. "If he has a bad game -- or, I think it's bad -- if he could have done more, I'll text him and tell him, 'I think you could have played a little harder.' I'll ask him, 'Are you tired? What's going on with you?'"
But lately?
"I have no criticisms," she said. "When I watch him go out there, I see he's giving his all. And as long as he's giving his all, that's all we can do.

agree with mom. LMA was sick last night.
Still am SMH about what LMA said re: Nate’s trust…said he felt he had Nate’s trust after the DALLAS GAME LAST YEAR.
Really Nate?
5th year, LaMarcus….didn’t feel he had Nate’s trust until last year.
And Nate wonders why he is unable to motivate his players.
to be fair, lamarcus also said
“But I really had to show him, ‘You can trust me.’” so it is sort of a motivating factor. now, there are some guys who would have quit on that, but i would say that lamarcus was motivated by seeking the approval of his coach.
That's why I don't have kids
Because I’d be blowing them up all day like “I can’t believe you can only manage five rebounds!”

Aldridge does give it his all, but his inconsistency on the boards puzzles me. He might dog it on the boards when his
teammates ignore him and start chucking up terrible shots.
Sorry, that was confusing, I meant his teammates chuck up terrible shots. I probably should have read that before posting.
I agree, Aldridge is a very smart player and I pretty much never feel bad when he shoots.
