WE NEED JOSE CALDERON ASAP.
Portland will continue to be one and done if we even make the playoffs this year because of our poor PG play. I thought we would get the New York Felton but he has been horrible. Felton is only shooting 20% from 3 not to mention the turnovers. Toronto is shopping Calderon because of his salary of 10-11 million next year. Portland will have the cap space and he would fit perfect with our Blazers. He is a 40% shooters from 3's not to mention his assist to turnover ratio. How much longer will it take for management to see that we need an upgrade. It's killing me!

The Portland Trail Blazers where Point Guards go to destroy their careers.
What the heck let’s see if we can hose Jose!
LET THE LAMONSTER ERA BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the purpose of destroying some Spanish one´s career I´d prefer Ricky Rubio´s.
Not available though.
I think the NBA has become a PGs league somehow. Last season Dallas won the title with two PGs on court at the same time, and this year LAC and Sota have been playing with two PGs, and it´s working.
Umm, I am confused. Are you saying you want to see Ricky Rubio's career destroyed?
I must be interpreting what you wrote wrong.
I would love to see RR in a Blazer uniform and have him stay awesome, but I don’t think that is possible.
For some reason it just seems like Terry Porter was the last Blazer PG to exceed all expectations consistently.
I long for those days of Drexler/Porter when the Blazers dominated the vast majority of the league every night…..SIGH.
LaMarcus All-Stardridge - 2012 All-Star Reserve!!!!
THE LAMONSTER ERA IS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mixed things when I was going with some sarcasm and finally didn´t write what I was going to.
The thought of Nate dealing again with a Spanish flashy player is almost funny, but I decided to leave out that part of my comment because what I was about to wirte might not be fair.
I don't get all the hate for Jose, he's like Steve Nash but younger.
he plays for the Toronto Raptors which isn’t a team filled with talent, but still gets 9 assist on average and he can make a 3pt shoot when left wide open 5 or 6 time a night unlike Felton. If the Raptors are just looking for cap relief then this works:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6tx5fq3
Yeah he would be better on a better team.
He’s a good passer which makes everyone on the team better. He can space the floor as well. Defensively he might need to be hidden. But with the versatility we have on the defensive end we could do that.
Good Question, Let me look into it and get back to you
I dont want to rush in to giving you an answer that I will regret tomorrow!

Exactly
He doesn’t have a lot to work with on the Raptors but I’ve seen him playing with the Spanish National Team and whe he’s got players around him that know what they’re doing (the Gasols, Ibaka, Navaro and yes, even Rudy) he actually looks really good. If you haven’t seen him play with them you can probably find some highlights on youtube. I think he’d do better than Felton because he’s a great passer, doesn’t try to do too much and is a better shooter.
Add a bit to make Toronto happy
Cash, second round pick, one of the Johnsons?
I’m not sure how highly they value Calderon, but they don’t seem to have bad contracts we could help them with. I do think that if you are going for Calderon OR Nash, you keep Matthews. His defense in the starting back court becomes more important with a lesser defender at the 1. And who knows, maybe his outside shooting would return to last year’s level once defenses were respecting the PG’s outside shot…

if we could get him for Ray and filler, why not...
my belief is that that would only happen if Toronto was looking to cut salary immensely, and take back an expiring contract.

Stop with Calderon talk
Toronto and Calderon deserve each other….
WHAT DOES PORTLAND HAVE TO LOSE.....GUY'S WE HAVE BEEN ONE AND DONE TOO MANY TIMES.
As a fan it disgust me about our POINT GUARD PLAY. It’s clear Felton is not the same as last year, when Andre Miller has a better shooting percentage you are really in a slump.
Toronto wants cap relief and a young point guard. We have both.
1. Nolan Smith was the ACC PLAYER OF THE YEAR.
2. Raymond Felton has a expiring contract, you can even give them a 1st round pick to make the deal sweeter.
Kenneth Lewis Moore
No giving up young talent and picks we need to rebuild.

A misnomer
when Andre Miller has a better shooting percentage you are really in a slump.
Andre Miller has a career average FG% of .459 that is right up there with Kobe, Roy and even Ray Allen. The last 10 games he has been shooting .540. He just doesn’t shoot 3s.

Thats Ironic!
Maybe we need Jose Calderon
I have been wrong in life more than right!

If nothing else is available at the deadline and Portland wants to make sure it won't head into the summer ...
with a hole at point guard, then I’d be down with trading Raymond Felton for Jose Calderon. It’d be a patchwork move rather than a long-term solution, but that’d be okay through the 2012-2013 season.
"I Am Mine"
I'll take Calderon
I know he can’t guard anyone, but neither can Felton, really. Calderon is the opposite of Felton offensively, which is a good thing.
NO WE DON'T!!!...
Dude plays poor defense and is 30 years old. No chance to be our PG of the future.
#7... GO BLAZERS!!!
