Batum - Top 10 NBA Sixth Men
Hopefully this hasn't already been posted.
Bleacher Report:
Nicolas Batum and the Portland Trail Blazers are making noise in the Western Conference. He and Jamal Crawford have made Portland's bench one of the best in the NBA.
After starting most of the season last year, Batum has found a way to be more efficient now that he's coming off the bench, with similar scoring numbers in decreased minutes.
He exploded for 33 points in just 25 minutes on Feb. 4 against the Nuggets and will be an integral part of the Blazers' playoff run this season.

They don't base their articles in any facts
At the same time, their articles are entertaining, and really, what are sports for if not entertainment?
"Brandon Roy has done this before."
Trust me, I’m not saying Bleacher Report is the go to place for sports articles, but to say “they don’t base their articles on any facts”, well, let’s take this article for example…
10. George Hill 9.3 ppg
9. Ramon Sessions 9.0 ppg
8. Brandon Bass 11.8 ppg
7. Nicholas Batum 12.4 ppg
6. O.J. Mayo 12.4 ppg
5. Jason Terry 15.2 ppg
4. Mo Williams 14.5 ppg
3. Al Harrington 15.0 ppg
2. Lou Williams 15.5 ppg
1. James Harden 16.8 ppg
I see a definite trend there, based on fact. It’s a trend and not exact because if it were in precise ppg order, it would be a “Here’s a list of 6th men with the best ppg”, so it trends that way and he inserts his opinion.
in how many minutes?
and how many shot attempts?
And what kind of defense do these people play?
U are right. This is just a list of ppg.
Have to say Harden is number one.
But think Batum COULD be if played more minutes and was given the freaking ball more often.
easy to say.
Harden is a great baller who would be starting on most teams. He can single-handedly take over games, especially with Durant on the bench. He’s shooting 47% from the field this year.
There’s not much to argue about him being #1 on the list.

Points are eventually chalupas
so… there isn’t really a different index to use…
The tensions are so high because the stakes are so low!
Bleacher report...
He and Jamal Crawford have made Portland’s bench one of the best in the NBA.
Speaking as a card carrying, perenially optimistic homer, I can say with complete confidence that this is crazy talk.
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice they're not.
