Spears: LaMarcus Aldridge Says He Heeds Lesson Of Brandon Roy
As noted by thankyouforblaze in the FanShots, Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports has some strong words from Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge regarding his potential selection as a 2012 All-Star.
But this quote really pops out, All-Star talk aside.
-------------------------
"I don’t ever get too high or too low," Aldridge said. "Just as quick as I got to this spot, I can be out of this spot. I hate to bring up Brandon [Roy], but he is a good example of how you can have something one day and then things can change so quickly for you. I always try to stay right in the middle.
"You always like hearing good things about yourself, but you want to keep working hard, too."
-------------------------
Aldridge is getting all sorts of All-Star buzz. Here's a selection from the weekend. Ian Thomsen of SI.com gave him some extended love on Monday as well. Fran Blinebury of NBA.com does too.

Love LA's mind set!
"Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes, but no plans."
Love this guy
It’s amazing to think that was have had three different franchise player in three years. It’s sad to think we had the capability of seeing them all play together. However, I am still excessively ecstatic to have such a humble, young, all star.
I hope Lamarcus earns his way to superstardom.

The Middle Way is always the path of wisdom
"Your hand opens and closes, opens and closes. If it were always a fist or always stretched open, you would be paralysed. Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding, the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated as birds’ wings." — Rumi
