Kevin Love Suspended Two Games For Stepping On Scola['s throat!]
The NBA announced the suspension on Monday. The incident occurred when Scola fell to the court during the third quarter. As Love headed back to the other end, he stepped on Scola’s face and upper body.
Love said after the game that the stomp was not intentional and he went to the Rockets’ locker room to apologize to Scola.
The NBA also upgraded it to a Flagrant-Two foul on Love.

"The NBA also upgraded it to a Flagrant-Two foul on Love."
Upgraded from nothing….smh

hmm
I watched it several times from multiple angles. I honestly don’t know if it was intentional or not. really hard to tell.

I agree
… but because the preceding foul was so ugly, I feel like their was a presumption of intent in view of the history between Love and Scola. I suspect that’s why the NBA levied the 2-game suspension, anyhow.

How did they miss the foul that led to Scola being on the ground?
You could hear the smack across his arms when Love slapped down at him. Granted, Scola is a bit of a flopper, but that was still a foul. I can guarantee Kevin McHale won’t be voting for Love as an All-Star reserve now.
Scola had fouled Love three consecutive times in the previous play (foul-miss-offreb-foul-miss-offreb-foul-bucket-three-no-calls-in-a-row)
Refs set the bar to THAT incredible level. They deserved to be suspended too.

that was awful reffing
Love committed two personal fouls and that stomp which was at least an F1, Scola committed 2-3 personal fouls. No whistle.
i keep dancing on my own.
I hope this helps Aldridge, a 100% class act, get his first All-Star nod
LaMarcus "Macrohard" Aldridge
Well Tim Duncan's per 36 numbers are better than last year
and Tim beat out LMA …soooo…there is that to think about

well besides the fact that this isn't true
LaMarcus is playing about seven million steps better than last year.
i keep dancing on my own.
It isn't true? Which part? The per 36 numbers?
or that Tim beat out LMA last year ?

His offensive rating went down from 111 to 104, he is scoring one more point per 36, but his true shooting is down from slightly, and his turnovers are up some, and his blocks and rebounds are down. All told he’s been comparable to last year, but LaMarcus has been way better. So LaMarcus and Love will make it, and Duncan won’t.

Does it change the point I was making ??

I don’t understand the logic. Wasn’t LMA better than Duncan last year ?….He is just more better this year?

yes it changes the point you are making above because you are insinuating that Aldridge’s all-star selection is in some way in doubt this year, which it is not.
i keep dancing on my own.
I hope you are right
and that LMA gets a selection this year ….but I haven’t seen a whole lot of difference from the scenario last year …when he didn’t make it..

He got off light.
He knocked a player down and kicked him in the face, and it looked intentional. The league needs to protect downed players.
It did look like he threw Scola down..but...he also looked like he was getting tangled up
with Scola. Scola is a HUGE flopper…so not sure that Love really THREW him down. Also the step thing..looks like he could have avoided this only if he stopped running.
Don’t know Love from Adam so it’s hard to say re: intent. I do know SCOLA FLOPS MORE THAN A LIVE FISH out of water.
Athletes at this level only stomp someone when they want to; there's no accident when it comes to stomping.
