This may be my least favorite trade
since we traded for Martell Webster.

I said the same at the time of the trade.
"Per John Hollingers twitter - Over the final 12:45 of today's game, Brandon Roy's PER was 84.98" GM 4 vs Mavs
hey guys i like Andre Miller too, i think he is a great passer, and is pretty clutch, honestly though i don’t think he makes our team that much better. we may have won a few extra games, but he ain’t taking us to any elite level. i think that giving felton a try was worth the trade, just to see what look he gave the team, obviously not a great look, so far. but he does up the tempo, and we need that this year with the players we have, and it’s working for the most part.

Denver leads the league in points and assists per game without a star scorer
I’d say Dre manages the tempo just fine compared to Felton. Our guard play has clearly been our biggest weakness this year so far. If we had Dre instead of Felton, the difference would be huge. Not to mention, Dre is the type of player who’s game doesn’t drop off when he’s on the road. With how bad Felton’s been, how good Dre still is, and how close most of our losses have been, it’s not crazy to think we’d have 4-5 more wins so far if that trade didn’t happen.
Dre ain't got no love for these pros
I agree, the poor play on the road seems to be everyone not named Lamarcus.
But having another player who can play on the road would help us a lot in the close losses like at Sacramento.

He'll grow old eventually.
If Dre has an aging curve similar to Mark Jackson — who I think is an apt comparison — then he’ll fall off at age 37 and break down altogether at age 38.
But who knows for certain?

I miss the Miller Golden Era of Blazer Basketball
We finished 3rd in the Northwest Division twice and lost in the first round of the playoffs twice. It can’t get much better than that.

Well, to be fair...
The franchise suffered a number of major setbacks during his tenure here – Oden, Roy, GM fiascos, etc. Plus how many other injuries? Cohesion & continuity have not been a hallmark of the past few years – terrible luck has. I think the past couple seasons we actually overachieved considering the adversity, and Miller was a big part of that.
No one is calling Dre a superstar, there are just a lot of fans here who still appreciate his game.
I appreciate what Dre does well, but fans ignore what he doesn't do well.
Teams on the other hand don’t ignore it. He has never got a team out of the first round of the playoffs (yeah I know – endless excuses it wasn’t his fault), the coaches have never picked him as an all-star, and no team has ever re-signed him in his entire 12 year career. The latter is where the money meets the road, and so invariably does Andre Miller.

I'll be clapping at home when his name's called at the rose garden tonite
we’ll see how he accepts blazer fan’s applause…
cold as ice and cool as a cucumber
or maybe he’ll shed a tear…
He’ll still be my favorite player, regardless…
think aldridge probably misses andre the most on the team
though another year with batum, mathews and wallace would have been interesting.
the not getting out of the first round of the playoffs is an interesting arguement.
tracy mcgrady also never got a team out of the first round of the playoffs, while he was actively playing, if i remember right. on the houston team that advanced i believe he was injured. he arguably was one of the top 5-10 players in league during his best years.
We'll see what Dre has left in the tank, tonight
I love me some Dre. So hard when they made that trade. Felton doesn’t know to get the bigs the ball high. And he ate his 3 pt shot as a dessert topping.
