Kareem with some praise for Aldridge's post game
Abdul-Jabbar said he doesn't watch enough games nowadays to judge who is the best among the league's current crop of centers, but did reserve praise for one player in particular.
"I know there's one guy that posts up in the same way that I used to," Abdul-Jabbar said. "He plays for Portland: LaMarcus Aldridge. He shoots a hook shot and he is a very effective player. He scores inside and turns around, goes out to 12 feet and shoots jumpers and is really able to do that."

kareem was then heard to say
“But nobody better put a statue of him up before I get mine!”
"Luke is our go-to Chalupa man," Matthews said. "Designated."

Damn high praise.
Coming from one of the greatest post scorers in the history of the game.

More from Aldridge:
“I feel like last year I was better. I might have better numbers this season, but I feel like last year down the stretch I was playing really well,” he said. “I want to be dominant. I want to close games. I want to be one of the best power forwards in this league, and I think I’m getting there.”
I would actually agree with that. He had a stretch last year that was completely jaw dropping.

what gets me is the "and I think I’m getting there" part
he’s already one of the best power forwards in the league. Is he talking ever maybe? That would be a tough bar to reach but very cool if he tried.
I agree X3
But its not just rays fault. Hes not playing agressive enough, he needs to make more inside plays like the dunks last night

I saw this during the lockout
I was really excited to see the greatest scorer in NBA history single out LMA.
I would LOVE to see him get a sky hook going.

kareem's the all-time leader in points scored
though a large part of that has to do with the incredible length of his career along with how great of a player he was over that whole time.
"Wide, girthy. Just like a Rhino. Sometimes my horns are visible."
Karl Malone?
yeah, he’s never talked about in the same way as the others near the top of that list. maybe that’s because of fact that he never led his team to a championship, but that still throws me off a little bit every time.

Yes, Wilt was the greatest scorer of all time. And he played basketball too.

I think the kung fu and JKD were more significant.
It would be pretty cool if we could get LA to work out with Jackie Chan, though. But it’d be tough for LA to develop the kind of agility that Kareem had.
