Guards
Who is the last decent point guard to play for the Portland Trailblazers. I have to go all the way back to Terry Porter, who had great skills in all aspects of the game, extremely high basketball intelligence, and an overwhelming desire to compete and win. I remember a signature triple overtime win against the Mavs, where Clyde and Terry sucked it up again and again, never gave up, and finally got the win. Character, yessir! Some people think Strickland was a real point guard, but, Strickland had a habit of coughing up the ball at just the wrong time...a habit he developed early:) Honestly, I can't think of a first rate point guard the Blazers have had since Terry...Can you?

Kenny Anderson!
He was pretty good his first year here (his only full season here), then he got hurt his second year, then he got traded for mighty mouse.
Mini Rebuild?
Beaubois, Williams, Batum, LMA, Freeland
Trade for Beaubois, use Matthews and GW for draft picks and convince Freeland to come over.
Well, I can think of a guy......
Who has over 14,440 points in his career
Who has over 7,250 assists in his career
Who has over 4,125 rebounds in his career

Yeah, no.
Dre was fine, but was old and we ran an extremely slow offense with him. Besides, he accomplished all of that not in a Blazer jersey.
Really?
“Dre was fine, but was old and we ran an extremely slow offense with him”
Better check your history books. Nate McMillan coached Blazers have been one of the slowest paced teams every year, long before Andre arrived. Also, and more importantly, Roy dictated pace much more than Dre.
As far as being old, he has a per of 16.3, an efg% of .473 and still gets 7 assists and 3.7 rebs while coming off the bench

Ok, well Terry Porter played just over 60% of his career as a Blazer.
And oh yeah, we are much better off with Felton. No.

Oh and I forgot....
He is also in the sixth man of the year discussion. But you’re right. Yeah, no.

What's the point of this post?
this isn’t fanshot material, this is just an observation that could (and should) have been made as part of an existing thread. For example, just 2 spots below yours, we have an ongoing discussion about the Blazers point guard play:

Teachable moment?
I’ve flagged several of these fanposts today. The mods have been excellent at removing them.
