Birdman available. Fit in Portland?
Hollinger hinted he was being showcased against the Thunder last night.
For the Blazers, it would be nice to have a shotblocking big who actually protects the rim (Camby is nice at blocking the ball, but isn't really affecting shots or shot selection. His rotation is molasses slow) and someone who can play 30 minutes if needed (neither Camby or Kurt Thomas can play more than 20 effectively).
A complete dump of Babbitt, Chris Johnson and Armon Johnson gives Denver two guys on the last year of their contracts (The Johnson's) and a guy on a rookie-contract, saving them about $6m in the process (more if they simply revoke Babbitt). Portland has a lot of contracts coming off the books this season and can probably fade $4m a year for the Birdman and still be able to make moves in the offseason.

I think he helps
And i think we need a guy with his kind of attitude. Although i would not give up very much at all for him.
"Tommy: Did you hear I finally graduated?
Richard Hayden: Yeah, and just a shade under a decade too. All right. "
I'd be down.
I’d be surprised if they let him go for just the Johnsons + Babbitt, but it’s possible…especially if we throw in $3 million, cash.
Considering purchasing a ticket on the Rebuild Now bandwagon.
Yeah, I don't care much for making this sort of trade
but if the Johnsons aren’t seeing court time for good reason, we should pawn them off and get something in return.
Sorry, no Birdman in PTown as far as im concerned
Id rather wait for someone else, like ODEN

Yeah, Denver doesn't have the roster space to make a three-for-one trade.
Besides, the Nuggets plan to use its one open roster spot on re-signing Wilson Chandler when he returns from China.
He ain't the birdman of old...
did you see last night when durant whizzed by him no problem for a layup that sent the game into overtime?
Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company.
He strikes me as the kind of player who if he was motivated he could step it up again.
I have nothing to base that on.
"Brandon Roy has done this before."
To much money
For a 33 year old back up big man, who doesn’t give much I’ll pass and take another 2nd round big in the draft who may or may not ever crack the rotation

I saw on espn that denver wanted to trade him
I say send a draft pick and chris johnson. Birdman can defend and score a bit more than camby is now. I HATE his tattoos but as a backup center for the blazers? I say get that done ASAP.

No way is this dude gonna be a Blazer
His character is atrocious. Sheesh. I can’t believe how rapidly we are sinking back into a gangster thug jailblazer mentality. People post things that suggest all we want is skilled players. It doesn’t matter if they have serious character flaws. What kind of team lets crackpots like this join them? I’ll tell you what kind. The sleazy kind. The Shawn Kemp Bonzi Wells sleazy kind. Birdman, right. With his ridiculously inflated sense of importance, with his hyper indifferent self-aborbtion. Sure. He’d fit in just fine on the Jailblazers.
He doesn’t even have the manhood or the character to be kind to his mother. His record of meanness to her is despicable. Somebody did a long story on that a few years ago… how Birdman basically abandoned his mother when he became rich. How could we welcome such a monster onto our team?
Ok I changed my signature. Do you like it better now?
Denver wouldn't do that.
If Denver wants to shed Chris Andersen’s salary, then deal him to Orlando for the draft rights of Fran Vazquez.
Since the Magic have got a mid-sized TPE, they can absorb Birdman’s contract. Also, to clear a roster spot for him, the Magic can release Daniel Orton, whose third-year team option was declined last month.
Anyone that can do this to Rudy

Probably the most humiliating block of all time

Do it.
Camby, Thomas and Birdman… Battle Ready! (though Camby needs a good rest if/ when we make the playoffs)
Portland would love the Birdman! After they forget that they hated him.
Only if he tattoo's rip city on his face
and still I think its a bad move.
LaMarcus Aldridge All-Star 2011-2012.
