Gameday Open Thread: Blazers vs. Kings

[Looks like SBN is back up, just in time for the game!]

I don't know if the Blazers are tired, but I sure am. Another game tonight, as the Portland Trail Blazers play the Sacramento Kings (7:10 tip-off). The Kings aren't a great team, but when they're at home, they're plenty dangerous. Are you concerned?

Injury report: Nicolas Batum (knee contusion) is out.

Read: Dave's Preview | Blazersedge Night 2012! | Blazers Media Notes | Facebook | Ben's onsite updates on Twitter
Watch: Comcast Sportsnet (Portland) | Blazers live streaming | NBA League Pass (National)
Listen: 750 AM The Game (Portland) | NBA Audio League Pass (Free)

The usual rules apply:

1. No swearing | 2. No pictures | 3. Be Nice!
4. Don't discuss unofficial game streaming. I know that's especially tough today. Consider this the official blanket warning.

And, of course, have fun. Go Blazers! -- Tim

bought the game through the trailblazers live thing

and then find out it’s another service that requires the installation of some crappy software that won’t run on linux.

What do these Microsoft guys have against platform independence anyway? I should demand my $2.99 back lol

That ain't Microsoft's fault, go yell at Rayv

That being said, I can usually decline the Rayv software, and the game will still play over flash. At least on NBA League Pass that works.

by Timmay! on Feb 2, 2012 7:01 PM PST up reply actions

it was a jab at the guys that made our beloved trailblazers sites

using Microsoft tech and an unfortunate choice of video software.

by poorwebguy on Feb 2, 2012 7:02 PM PST up reply actions

Can't blame them for using MS for web serving, they own a ton of the market

And I’m sure PA has no problem with that.

The Rayv thing is the same thing NBA LP BB uses. I don’t know for sure, but I’m guessing they piggybacked off the existing technology.

by Timmay! on Feb 2, 2012 7:04 PM PST up reply actions

yeah LP BB let me get around it though

I suppose I could run Windows in a virtual machine and watch the game. That just bugs me though for some reason.

Yeah I can’t blame them but they made their sites without any kind of real usability or standards in mind. My wife runs Windows 7 on her laptop so I’m not one of those guys that’s all Windows hate. Bit of resentment but not pure hate lol. Can’t they at least code a decent website?

by poorwebguy on Feb 2, 2012 7:08 PM PST up reply actions

I don't blame them for using Windows as the server

But their web site is so poorly coded, it’s one of my least favorite sites on the internet.

Wesley Matthews has been really a useless player this season. It's like teams just no figured out he can't create off the dribble.

They just crowd him and he can’t do anything else. I swear last year he used to get buckets off of cuts and curls.

Definitely, and his shot seems to be getting better as he loses the weight. Too bad he doesn't come into
