He showed us all up tonight!
I hope he keeps it up.
I’m behind Ray Ray, of course mostly because I can’t get around him.

He showed us all up tonight!
He reached his career averages tonight. I kind of think he showed us the minimum expectations tonight.
I noticed Mike Rice calling out the "haters" lastnight.
As if the criticism for Ray Felton’s game has always been a matter of people’s unfounded judgement and not a matter of his awful basketball play.
I’d love to see him play up to his career averages, as it is though he’s been the worst starting point guard all season by far, and his play is responsible directly for marks in the loss column.
His job is to help us win. Lastnight he did his job. He didn’t go off for a career night, he played up to his averages.
But Haters? Who doesn’t hate losing?

It's a step in the right direction
and a marked improvement! Let’s see where this goes. I hope he spends a lot of time with his shooting coach over the All-Star break.
"Luke is our go-to Chalupa man," Matthews said. "Designated."
What more do you want than sustainable production?
I don’t see your point.
Felton’s smart play and good shot selection are excite me much more than had he caught fire for a game and made miracle passes.
He isn’t Magic Johnson, and I don’t expect him to be. If he played like Magic for one game I’d say, “Oh, Felton caught fire.” Instead I’m saying, Felton appears to be on the right track, and hope can be restored for this season.
"Brandon Roy has done this before."
I think his point was we all shouldn't get too excited.
He had a good game in the context of how he’s played this season only. If you compare lastnights game to his career, lastnights game was in line with his averages. So far his play has been well, well below average compared to how he’s played in the past.
He’s saying lastnights game wasn’t a breakout game, lastnight he finally played to the level he should have all season.
I would love to see him play like this for the rest of the season, but it’s too early to say he’s back on track. If he can play to his averages for the next 5-10 games then I think we can say he’s back on track. One game does not show a trend though.
Also, I don’t think anyone ever, ever, ever said anything even remotely close to ever even hint at Ray Felton even being in the same conversation as Magic Johnson! It would be nice to see him be able to produce more assists than turnovers, to make some shots, to make good decisions, and to play to the level he has played at in the past. At this point people would be totally fine with average.

Tyler said this better than I could have, and from the mobile interface!
He met expectations last night. When he does this for the rest of the season, people can have a nice reasoned discussion of whether he could be part of the long-term plan.
But if this is the idea of “he showed everyone!”, well he really didn’t show that much. He just had what should be a normal game for him. And that’s good! But it’s not a performance that suddenly shuts up everyone who complained.
It’s like a teenager bragging about how they cleaned their room and did their chores. Yay, you did what you were supposed to do!
That's exactly what I was thinking
Just a few more until the trade deadline…

I hope he proves me to be incorrect.
I wasn’t for acquiring him then- nor am I now. And I’m rarely ever wrong.

But, seriously. I don’t understand the fat jokes anymore. He’s really not any pudgier than Deron Williams or Chris Paul.
He's pudgier than Khalid Al-Amin and Voshon Lenard COMBINED

Which one of CP3's
newly acquired chins are you referring to? The second or third one?
If he builds off the Atlanta game and gets his game back on track
I think the fat jokes will at least slow down

or maybe they'll just become freindlier
"Wide, girthy. Just like a Rhino. Sometimes my horns are visible."
Felton's childhood consisted of ho-hos and ding-dongs!

Standout out local eateries should attatch Felton's name to their most disgustingly fat and greasy, dishes
Pine State Biscuits could call their gravy “felton gravy” or change the name of the Chatfield to the “Raymond Chatfield” or the "Felton deluxe(which is doubled-ordered) McMenamins should have a BBQ Felton burger (comes with extra mayo, of course). There has to be some market that can capitalize off of Felton’s weight, sure isn’t basketball.

Not actually fat...like at all

He does have a round-ish face that will always look pudgey but no one who runs as a many miles as these people (pro ball players) do will ever be truly fat.
If you want to bash him as a player …fine …there is plenty of ammo out there but the “Felton is fat” meme is pretty played out
"What began as a credible protest against bank bailouts, crony capitalism and the like has, in large measure, been hijacked by crazies and criminals,"
yeah, I think he's a bit barrel chested but he's not that fat
he could probably lose 10 lbs, but that’s not what I call fat. It’s really just taken a life of its own, and he’ll be considered fat until he’s gone…
