J.R. Smith
Alright, so he's coming back and he's a free agent. To be honest none of our guards have really proved themselves as someone we can really rely on. J.R. Smith has never really played a major role for a team, but honestly when he did play, he has superstar potential. He's quick, athletic, competitive, can shoot, and knows how to get in the lane... only problem is his character but I think Nate can change that.
Is there a way the Blazers could get him? Somehow get rid of Wallace and Felly for some point guard?
I honestly wouldn't mind a line up of Jamal, J.R. Smith, Batum, Aldridge, and Camby.
Lamarcus could be surrounded by all shooters/dynamic scorers (except camby).
Just a thought...
J.R. could be the J.Lin for Portland.

Jamal and Jr in the backcourt?
its like Russian roulette every night. Do we blow the other teams brains out or our own?

Luckily it's 1 to 6 chances we blow ours.

I think it would be more like putting one bullet into an automatic.
Then since it’s JR and Crawful, they would offer to shoot first.

He was Camby's teammate in Denver...
Camby has mentioned how he mentored/hazed him in the past. I think that relationship would do wonders for JR. much more than Nate…

JR Smith
Yes,i would love this guy in a Blazers uniform…Yes,I would love to see Jamal AND JR Smith in the same line up…Yes,Blazers need desperately players that can score and this is the problem that Blazers always had, lack of many players that can score every night…Thats one real problem of this team,no guys(except Jamal) that can create his own shot and put the ball in the basket….SO,YES FOR JR SMITH…
Let him go to the lakers. Guaranteed fail.

I'm fine with letting him go somewhere else
where he can torch us MAYBE one out of every 8 times he plays us.

He’s basically Jamal Crawford. Don’t need 2 of them. We do need scorer’s but I’d like to see someone with a higher shooting percentage, tired of felton and matthews chuckin bricks.

I do it in a heart beat
as soon as Melo left that team Smith went on fire. He shot .45% from the floor and .46% behind the arc. He also brings some needed confidence to this team.

The Day we sign Smith is the day I quit bring a fan, and I been down since '76
I mean look at him he is soooo gross, my kids ask me “what is wrong with that guy? why does he look like that? what happened to his skin?”

Did you tell your children that they are tattoos.
And if they continue to live in Portland they are going to have accept and live with people that have them?
Or did you suddenly turn into a midwestern soccer mom and ignore their questions.

I'm going to take a pass
J.R. (Rider) Smith is an idiot and I don’t want his sister in the stands. Rarely do I actually dislike other players but this dude taunted the bench and us in the stands in the past. I say no thanks. Brother brought a posse to CHINA! I’m going with no.
No, as in I hope he goes to Charlotte, buyao Xie xie (I don’t know if Mandarin is proper for the situation, but…).
Isn't JR Smith just a younger version of JR Rider?
he might be good, but he’s really really hard to root for
