We need Patty back

BG and a few around here will vehemently disagree, but I think we need to look at signing Patty Mills and quick.

Star-divide

As side for the fact that (and scarily might I add) going off his last years production he would be a step up on our current guard roster, he is the gel that would bring this team together out in the locker room.

He knows this team, he knows our plays.

Wez would play better.

Batum would play better.

Camby, Wallace and LMA would love to have him back.

He has more experience than Armon and Smith.

He has better outside shooting and handles than Felton.

We would get more production out of Crawford with a guy like Patty running the floor.

The fans would rejoice.

Yes, he is a liability on defense, but we carry a lot more in the way of defensive minded guys to cover miss matches.

Anyone who followed Pattys progress during the lockout in international ball, NBL and CBA would know he has worked a lot on his PG game.

I would not only bring him back. I'd start him.

It couldn't hurt

Patty was willing to take shots, and now even Crawford is hesitating on his shot late, we need someone who will man up, take a shot, and be prepared to cop the criticism if he misses. For some reason Patty seemed immune to the ‘Nate effect’, that makes everybody, even a remorseless gunner like Crawford, hesitate and pass up open looks. Also, he could space the floor a lot more than Felton, since Felton is terrible at 3pt land at the moment, and worse, he’s in his own head about it and has stopped taking 3s, which allows the opposition to pack the paint.

no. Patty is terrible. Nolan Smith might be too, but I’d rather find that out than bring Patty and his ridiculously annoying ways back.

I want Patty back,he is clearly better than Nolan and Armon heck

there is a chance that he’d be better for us than Felton is. Patty wants to play and he’ll get that here, he knows the plays and might be willing to sign a contract that would make him a free agent in the summer.

Why would we not want him back for the short term? That should be the question!

How can you know he's better than Nolan?

Dude has barely played 100 minutes in the NBA, and is looking over his shoulder for the quick hook anytime he plays meaningful minutes.

If you're not careful, Andre Miller can really sneak up on you

if yr worried about getting pulled

i would suggest doing something good out there. I never got that excuse. If you think trying not to make mistakes is going to get you more time than you won’t be long for the nba.

Yes, with Patty we’d revert to last year’s form for sure!!! We’d win a championship! Hmmm. We’d at least dominate in the first round of the playoffs! Hmmmm.

Well, we’d have a really active twitter community, so there’d be that.

Would love to see Patty.

Not so much for on the court though. Based on there poor performance on the road, the chip developing on McMillain’s shoulder, and so many Blazers frutrated with playing below thier potential, the Blazers seem to be brewing some deep seeded tension. From what I heard Patty’s personality seemed like it could help in lightening the weight on everyone’s shoulders.

Please, please no

Patty is barely an NBA-quality basketball player, and has no place in a decent team’s rotation. Just give Nolan those minutes, he can’t be worse.

Plus he kind of sounds like Flight of the Conchords.

My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

What about Iverson?

If we’re talking about a hail mary move like starting Patty Mills, why not consider bringing back Allen Iverson? He’s actively looking to get into the NBA, considering playing in South America right now, 36 years old, and has one of the highest points per game averages of all time. Sure, it’d be a risky move, but he’s experienced and has had a great attitude back in the day. I’m serious, give the guy a shot in PDX and see if Iversanity wouldn’t strike.

Face facts, he is a NOW solution towards improvement.

Not saying he is going to turn us into a contender, but he is better than what we have and he can slot straight in and make a difference.

If you cant see that you are broken at watching basketball.

I Agree

However, from all that I have read and heard, Patty will not be available until sometime in March. The Blazers need a PG NOW!!

Will be @ Portland and suited up by the end of next week.

You saw it on BE first.

Start planning your Patty home coming game festivities.
