While Jeremy Lin has been stealing the spotlight recently, there is no denying that Luke Babbitt is on a path to All-Stardom. Many of us always knew that he was going to develop in to a star, but for those of us who didn't believe, he quieted all doubts with this legendary shot.
Unfortunately, Kevin Love has stolen all the media attention (and the All-Star nod that comes with it) that exists for white western conference forwards with Portland connections. While the national media and fans across the country may not realize it, the next breakout star is the one one with the bowl cut, cheering the Blazers on and winning chalupas and fans' hearts alike with his clutch shooting.
Anyways, my question is to you, just how high is this guy's ceiling? Will he be another good scorer who can't find that championship like Wilkins or Malone? Portland's greatest player ever, or neck-and-neck with Clyde the Glide? A rich-man's Larry Bird perhaps? And will he earn a spot in the GPOAT discussion with the like of MJ, Bill Russell and Kobe Bryant?
Also, does Portland have the right pieces around him to win, or should they make moves to improve his supporting cast (imagine Nash and Babbitt roaming the perimeter, causing havoc together. Best white duo ever)?
