Sick of all the hatin'
Felton has been getting pummeled by the fans and the media like he's our rental punching bag that has the value of a used condom. Nate is talked about like he has fetal alcohol syndrome and is more like Coach from CHEERS than the assistant coach of the US national team. And this is by our own B.E.'rs. If L@aker fans were to say that stuff, there would be martial law. It's like the phenomenon where you can talk bad about your mom, but if someone else does...
I'm not saying that they don't deserve critical examination. Every player, coach, and staff member at every level should be under the microscope. Sometimes criticism can motivate a player, such as Aldridge, who made it a point to not be considered "soft". However, at some point, the negativity crosses the line and takes away from the team.
Now you might be thinking, "Kev. sure you're strong, fast, and powerful, but what makes you an expert"? Or perhaps, "Kev. you've made some negative comments in the past". The thing is, when I say mean stuff I'm usually joking. Also, I happen to enjoy getting a buzz and creating some controversy every so often. I sincerely hope it doesn't take away from the team.

I agree
We just need to stay calm and realize a little 4 or 5 game winning streak can propel us into 4th place. 3-9 are extremely close right now.
Felon is eminently hate-worthy simply on account of his horrendous play
I observed a lot of animosity toward Jarrett Jack when he was playing for Portland. Some of this was deserved, because Jack was in the habit of making bonehead errors at crucial points in games. But honestly, I never could understand the vitriol spewed at him. He was (and still is) a discip0lined, competent point guard.
On the other hand, Felon is consistently horrible but has not been subjected to the full-throttle animus that Jack had to endure. Jack was a decent player but he commanded an inordinate share of hatred. Felon is consistently bad in every facet of the game, but he commands less hatred than Jack ever did.
Rather than attributing criticisms of Felon to the ones who are doing the criticizing (a form of ad hominem attack), it would be more wise to attribute these criticisms to the objective defects of Felon himself.
Ok I changed my signature. Do you like it better now?
Oh. Calling Felton "Felon" isn't
(a form of ad hominem attack)

Sigh...
this is Hypocritical.
The thing is, when I say mean stuff I’m usually joking. Also, I happen to enjoy getting a buzz and creating some controversy every so often.
this is Disgusting.
Felton has been getting pummeled by the fans and the media like he’s our rental punching bag that has the value of a used condom.
Also— this is wrong: there is no ‘A’ when there’s an ‘@’ in L@ker
Nonetheless, even after all these strange, strange comments, I do believe that the fan base has the right to complain about a player when they are absolutely stinking it up on the court.
This fanpost begs the question: WHAT???

sigh...It seems like you enjoy looking down on people.
Joking around is different than being mean or cruel. The same goes for innocent banter.
My description of how Felton is being treated by fans is disgusting, I agree.
I’m not going to edit my spelling error because I don’t care when things aren’t perfect.
I encourage everyone to speak their mind, but constructive criticism is different than an emotionally unbalanced rant. Do in need to give examples?
The point is to act in a way that helps the team instead of a troll disguised as a Blazer fan.

So, I got deleted recently for making a mildly scandalous remark about the Scott Foster call
The staff is just a little on edge these days with the Justice Department running around shutting down websites with links to illegal streaming sites and the team being so crappy and all. As Leonard Cohen wrote, “If I have been unkind, I hope that you can just let it go by.”
I think there has been a great deal of overzealous censorship of comments
One might argue that censorship is always overzealous but that would be overstating the case. Some deletion of comments is necessary in order to maintain high standards of family accessibility etc. But I would agree that the usual gatekeeping over foul language has been veering off into crazyland of late. Perhaps there is a concerted effort underway to mold the site into a more Disney-friendly place.

Your Portland and Disney Blazers.....
My mouth is often family unfriendly, but sports oriented.
felton sucks this year
I don’t hate the guy, but I hate the way he plays the game of basketball.
He’s terrible and I’d honestly rather Nolan start at point and screw up just as much – at least he’s a rookie, which is a legitimate reason to screw up for a quarter of a season.

I said it to my wife last night as we watched the game and today it’s nationwide……if i see him throw the ball between 2 defenders at the top of the key and try to run thru them to pickup his dribble again i will throw up a little……

If Jesus was a Blazer fan,
he would use his magic to heal Felton and the team. Seriously though, I don’t see how the negativity is helpful at this point.
Jesus has been bullied by American exceptionalists into supporting only Tim Tebow
Ok I changed my signature. Do you like it better now?
Jesus is a freakin ninja who uses throwing stars made out of love.
Try to hate that atheists and Muslims.

For this to not be the only post about
hateful statements being made then it goes to show how bad this is getting. Many socalled Blazers fans arent real fans at all. Its one thing to be objective and abit analytical but its something else when a person is downright negative and keeps blurting out “blow it up! blow it up! blow it up” as if they are Rain man flipping out. People need to just level out and quit being so negative. Thinking objectively and just negatively are different
