Gasol clearly does not fit in with D'Antoni's system. The question is, could and should we make a trade for him? I think Gasol could fit very nicely in Portland, especially when you consider his passing-ability. Moreover, Blake is going to be out for some time; so maybe they would be inclined to take Smith....

I could not figure out a way to get the trade to go through ESPN's trade machine, but I would very much be interested to see if someone else can get it to go. So what can we throw the Lakers way to make this happen?
