Portland Trail Blazers forward Luke Babbitt would like to participate in the Three-Point Contest at All-Star Weekend.
Chris Haynes of CSNNW.com reports that Portland Trail Blazers forward Luke Babbitt is tossing his name into the ring as a possible contestant in the Three-Point Contest at 2013 All-Star Weekend in Houston.
"It would be an honor if I was selected," Babbitt told CSNNW.com. "It's something that I watched growing up and it would be great if I had the opportunity to be a part of it."

"His style is perfect for the contest," [Blazers coach Terry] Stotts said. "He's a set-shooter and has a compact motion. [He] doesn't use a lot of legs, so I think he can go through and shoot the 25 balls at a comfortable pace. Obviously he's a great shooter, but I think his style of shooting lends itself to the competition."
Babbitt is shooting 34.5 percent from threes this season, ranking fourth on the Blazers behind Wesley Matthews, Damian Lillard and Nicolas Batum. Babbitt is a career 37.9 percent three-point shooter.
According to Blazers Broadcasting and a variety of witnesses, Babbitt has never missed a three-pointer during a practice in his entire life.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love won the 2012 Three-Point Contest.
