Numbers cannot tell a lie. He plays too many minutes and it was making our team stink. I'm not trying to rile you guys up, for I know I will take heat for saying this, but Matthews would better help our team if used less. He could bring more energy to the court if given say 20 minutes per contest instead of 40. Our team is focused and playing hard nosed basketball, with having Matthews minutes shared amongst our other players. It gives coach Stotts the ability to find a hot hand, instead of hopefully waiting 40 minutes for Matthews to get hot. I think with our bench struggles, putting Matthews in a 6th man role would work better for our team moving forward. He might not like it, some fans might not like it, but I know fans want wins now, not tomorrow, now. And that's what the Blazers can do when we play team basketball. Not being dependant on our starting SG to take 15 outside shots and maybe 1 layup every game. We can give the ball more to a guy like say... JJ Hickson.
