I'm not sure if its the arrival of Lillard or what, but last night was (possibly) the first night all season that LaMarcus attempted to literally dominate the game. It was clear that he was the best player on either team. If LaMarcus had gone his usual 85-90% we would've lost by 25. I wish I hadn't felt like last night seemed like a special effort, but it did.
Something is different this year with him. LaMarcus and Brandon were/are both awkwardly emotional and insucure about being the "leader" of a team. For Brandon, it seemed like a role he could grow into but with LMA maybe it is just going to take some time for him, like the entire season, and he will have to realize that Lillard is going to get a lot of the shine regardless of what he does.
Either way, I hate to sound like an pr*$k but I would like to see that level of effort out of LaMarcus every night, whether Lillard is having a good game or not.
