In response to its record-setting home sellout streak ending at 195 consecutive games as of tonight's contest against the Atlanta Hawks, the Portland Trail Blazers have issued the following statement from Chris McGowan, President and CEO:
"Rarely has the NBA seen such passion and support like that shown by Portland Trail Blazers as we sold out 195 consecutive games at the Rose Garden. We're eternally grateful to our fans for their loyalty during the sellout streak, and look forward to their continued support throughout the season. With a new coach, new players and a high-energy brand of NBA basketball, we're building something special in Portland and encourage all fans to get on board for an exciting ride. Thanks to our fans, the Rose Garden continues to be the most difficult arena for teams to play in when facing the Trail Blazers."
