Postgame Thread: Spurs Overtake Blazers, 112-109

The Portland Trail Blazers led most of the night, but the Tony Parker-less San Antonio Spurs rode their bench to a very close victory in the Rose Garden tonight.

The Blazers had two late chances to tie or win the game. Down by 2, they handed the ball to Nicolas Batum for three. He already tied his career high with 33 points but wasn't able to add to it. After Stephen Jackson made one of two free throws, LaMarcus Aldridge missed a three, and the buzzer sounded.

The Spurs bench outscored the Blazer bench, 63-4, and Gary Neal's 27 points and 7 rebounds made the difference.

I unfortunately do not have a full recap for tonight's game; for that I'd like to thank the Portland Trail Blazers, who have blacked out KGW games across the majority of Western Washington outside the local KGW market. That's where I happen to be tonight. So, thanks Blazers! The fearless Dave will take of business though, giving you all the details with his analysis shortly.

The Blazers were led by Aldridge (29 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds) and Batum (33 points 7 rebounds, 4 assits). JJ Hickson finished with a double-double (13 points, 14 rebounds), and Damian Lillard ended with solid numbers (20 points, 6 assists), unfortunately struggled after a strong first half.

Check out the box score here. Stay tuned for Dave! -- Tim

[Edit: Update from Dave...Either DirecTV or something messed up the recording of this game tonight for me. I only have an error message from DirecTV when I try to access the game on my DVR. This pretty much kills any chance of analysis. So...stay tuned for Ben. If I find out this is related to the Blazer-inspired blackout Tim mentioned above, I will bring that to your attention.]
