Damian Lillard said he has lobbied to play, but Coach Stotts and team trainers have made him go through extra therapy on bruised foot.
Lillard did not play during Wednesday's preseason home opener against the Denver Nuggets. It was originally expected that he would participate in practice on Thursday.
