This is not necessarily a response to his performance last night ( but it may help the argument) because I have seen him play games like this a lot over the years. I remember him on the lakers and nuggets and I always thought that he had such a complete game. He is truly a good basketball player. He's smart, can handle, can pass, and has a good shot. Now, your not likely going to choose him over a guy who has high upside or crazy athleticism cause he has neither, but on a team like ours that is desperate for some savvy at the three and more ball handling, he makes a lot of sense. He is not going to be any teams long term solution, but for a young building team like ours I think he could be valuable. Its hard not to root for the guy after all he has been through and when your other options are Babbit and Morrisson the risk/reward on a guy like Karl seems like a no-brainer. Give the kid a shot , could he be any worse than the alternative?
