Portland Trail Blazers rookie guard Will Barton is expected to make his preseason debut against the Sacramento Kings after dealing with a right hamstring strain for much of training camp.
Mike Tokito of The Oregonian reports that Portland Trail Blazers rookie guard Will Barton is expected to make his preseason debut against the Sacramento Kings after dealing with a right hamstring strain that caused him to miss more than a week of training camp and his team's first two preseason games last week. Barton practice with the team on Sunday.
Rookie Will Barton finally went through a full practice and should make his exhibition debut Monday at Sacramento.
Barton has been limited by a hamstring strain he suffered Oct. 3 and had not taken part in a full practice until Sunday. He said the hamstring is still slightly tender, but after missing the Blazers' first two exhibition games, he is raring to go after getting through the full session Sunday.
"It felt real good," Barton said. "The last road trip, watching them play those two games, being a rookie and being so anxious to be out there, it was killing me."
