Kenneth Faried
Anyone notice Faried getting no minutes in denver?
I was checking the boxscores to see how Rudy (14 pts 2 asts 3 rbs in 27 minutes) and Andre (0 pts 3 asts and 2 rbs in 22 minutes) are doing, and noticed 12 players played for Denver tonight in a loss, the only player suited up who didn't play was Kenneth Faried. It's not like they have an abundance of forwards, does anyone (who watches Denver more) know why he struggles so much to find minutes?

He was picked after Nolan for a reason...
He was getting lucky with getting minutes with a team like Denver. Think of him like Chris, NOlan, and Elliot, he’s a spark plug, but after five or so minutes he’s a liability.
denver's extremely deep, not sure why you think they're thin.
Denver has five bigs that they want to play ahead of Faried—Nene at either PF or C, Koufas and Mozgov at C, and Al Harrington and Chris Anderson at PF. That’s already more than is ideal to split playing time—you generally want a three or four man rotation.
Faried has only had one game with a substantial amount of playing time, and he looked fantastic in that game. But he’s still behind all these other guys—Koufas and Mozgov for developmental reasons and Nene, Harrington and Anderson since they’re very productive.
Denver is kind of thin at small forward, but Faried can’t play a wing, he’s an inside the paint big.

I'll bet Denver would really like a good shooter
like Babbitt – and would gladly trade one of their excess big men (ahem, Faried) for him!?!

I'd do that trade
and give them a couple million

Things that make you go hmmm.
Denver, with a glutton of forwards, takes Faried.
Portland, with a glutton of guards, takes Smith.
Denver wouldn't be interested in anything other than a consolidation trade.
They have depth in every spot—in fact, probably a little too much depth for long-term roster development.
that reminds me how John Wall is looking like crap
(for a highly anticipated #1 pick)
