Gameday Open Thread: No Lakers vs. Blazers First Half.

Let the rivalry begin anew. Tonight, the Los Angeles Lakers come to town to play the Portland Trail Blazers. We all know the Lakers dislike playing in Portland, and the Blazers would love to foster that attitude. What do you expect to see tonight?

Edit: ATL/MIA is in triple overtime on TNT, who has not shown the entire first half of the Blazers/Lakers game. Feel free to grumble here while a few folks provide updates.

Injury report: All's quiet.

Read: Dave's Preview | Blazers Media Notes | Facebook | Ben's updates on Twitter
Watch: TNT (Nationwide, no League Pass tonight!)
Listen: 750 AM The Game (Portland) | NBA Audio League Pass (Free)

The usual rules apply:

1. No swearing | 2. No pictures | 3. Be Nice!
4. Don't discuss unofficial game streaming

And, of course, have fun. Go Blazers! -- Tim

LAME’S WORLD!

Wait, that was too excited for this guy. I might have just given him a heart attack.

I know less than half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

They need to leave more time in between games. Missing an entire half of a game is ridiculous.

by Effervescent on Jan 5, 2012 8:53 PM PST reply actions

simple solution

start the 1st game at 7:30 eastern time or even 7 depending on what they wanna do and where the game is played 2nd game at 7:30 pacific time

The whole point we pay for cable tv as opposed to the free broadcast stations we use to have is that there’s more channels for more content.

Lakers are playing tough.

But Portland is missing a bunch of bunnies and tips. A little too frenetic on the defensive end. Taking very good shots for the most part though. If they can get some stops and keep running they will be fine.
