ESPNLA.com Writer Calls Out CSNNW.com Writer For Bias

79
Dave McMenamin of ESPNLA.com listened to CSNNW.com writer Chris Haynes give a radio hit (audio here) on the Dave Smith Show on 750 AM The Game on Thursday afternoon and took exception to what he heard. "Just heard a Portland scribe end his radio hit talking about tonight's game by saying 'Let's go Blazers!' Real objective folks up here," McMenamin wrote on Twitter. Jason Quick of The Oregonian took exception to that comment. "You can't generalize us all as one ...or at least say who it was," Quick wrote. McMenamin then clarified that the "folks" he was referring to were Haynes and Smith. Update: Haynes explained his comment to me before the game: "Dave [Smith] and I are both from California. I always just talk like that because I know he's a Lakers fan. That's all there is to it." Update: Fences have been mended. McMenamin writes just before tip: "Spoke to Chris Haynes pregame. Good dude." -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
