Bernard Bokenyi out of noon slot now?
750 the game looks like they made more changes. Brian Berger from 10-12 slot to the noon to Bernard Bokenyi's spot that he had for a few weeks after they let Dave Smith go.
Now from 9-noon we get non-local Jim Rome back, horrible!!!
Now Chad Doing is 6-9 instead of 6-10.
I guess these guys at 750 the game decided to reconnect with Jim Rome. I'm not really a fan of Rome, but he has a huge fan base, so I'm sure Rome back makes some of you happy.

I was pretty sure Bokenyi was just a temp fill-in anyway, wasn't he?

IDK
Seems like if he was they would have just changed Brian Berger right into the 12-3 slot, and had B.B. fill in the 10-noon slot that Berger was doing, but IDK.
well, that's a different question
they probably didn’t want to move Berger until they were sure what they were going to do. it makes sense only to do one change, not multiple changes. step one, plug in a temp host (Bernard), step 2, figure out the new plan (apparently this ended up being re-contracting with Rome), step 3, adjust time slots as needed (Berger, clipping an hour back off of Chad).
Seems to me they went about the process the correct way, whether or not one agrees with the results.
I like the fact that 750 focuses primarily on local hosts and content, unlike the FAN, who has only the terrible afternoon show in which neither host is a basketball expert, or even much of a fan of the sport in general. That said, there’s only so much local talk you can do without just repeating yourselves, and Chad, Berger, Canzano and Strong probably cover it more than adequately. I’d like to have something better than Rome in the morning slot, but I’m at work then anyway, so it doesn’t much matter.

Berger drives me nuts. Everytime he pronounces the letter "a" I want to slap him.
Bokenyi’s show was worse than the Charlotte Bobcats. It was a frat party without booze, girls or wit.
Oops by B.B. I mean Bernard Boykenyi
Guess it gets confusing if both have B.B. as the same initials.
i have those initials too, so i thought i got a big promotion. oh well.
"I told somebody to stop crying," Pendergraph said after the game. "Actually, I told them all to stop crying."
well done.
BB is kinda the head guy there now. looks like he knows what he is doing. hoping to get back fm next.
i totally agree. the afternoon and nights are much better.

Doesn't have a good voice
But I really like his persepectives and his balance. Sports radio is full of bipolar personalities(either—the Blazers are going all the way! -or- The Blazers are going straight to hell!) cough, Chad Doing, cough, which is a great way to get strong reactions, but also tiresome and unintelligent.
Berger does a good job, IMO and avoids a lot (but not all) of the typical BS. I also like that he frequently has Merritt Paulson on.

Hey, if their not playing music, I’m not listening!
No talking heads for me. Thank you very much.
COMCAST SUCKS!!
since the game went to am is sucks
I dont even listen to it anymore, especially since they got rid of Wheels at Work.
I like the fact that if Chad is going to be Doing (hehe) the fifth quarter show
he’s not going to also have to do 4 hours the morning after.
Other than that, I was happy that Rome was cancelled, and Berger isn’t that scintillating, but he’s better than what they had in that time slot. We’ll see how this new line-up works. IMO, not better and not worse, just different.
I have to add this though: If you weren’t following Rome from day one, you have no hope of getting most of the inside references on that show, which makes up about 75% of the content of the show per hour. Rome is a waste of time. How he stays on, I have no idea.

A newt?
...I got better."
Thrilled Dave Smith is out
I don’t want to wish anyone failure, and I hope he lands on his feet. But this isn’t the market to be talking boxing everyday, and I generally don’t respond well to people who refer to themselves as the god of what they do. His show was really awful
