Aldridge looking strong.
Gonna need a big second half from him to bring this one home.
that batum feed to aldridge off the wing
was beautiful bball
It seemed to click finally that he better get chip on his shoulder because now that hes the man teams are gonna go at him . Perkins is of course gonna try and punk him ...his response was excellent
Now of course someone needs to tell Crash hes playing soft .

I like our chances. OKC is playing good, but barely a step ahead of us. I think they will be gassed out by the 4th qtr.

He seemed to have better handles than Felton and wouldn’t be too bad in this uptempo offense that we run….

I miss him.
I always wanted to see Damon and Brandon (both somehow in their prime)

Did you guys see LaMarcus with the dribble drive earlier?
That tells me he’s capable of the pick and roll. He needs to work on setting better screens though.
LaMarcus basically said the same thing. He doubyed he'd get as many
dunks without Andre.
#52--------I believe in Greg Oden
Weeeeeee are the champions
no time for losing..
felton should never be a score first guard.
he was trying to be.
I got sad.
A nice effect of Blazers higher pace
is that when other team opens a lead, it doesn’t feel so insurmountable. At times, it used to feel like we were doomed if we got down double digits.
Thanks CSN
for playing that Ms. Turkey ad constantly.
Johnson, Johnson, Smith, Smith, Thomas, Williams, and Babbitt: the Blazer's law firm.

yeah foul situation is
Ibaka 3
Perkins 2

the key to the second half is attack and make those guys foul it really disrupts there running game when Ibaka and Perkins are not on the floor to swallow up rebounds and correct their defensive mistakes

Does Nate know how to defend the pick & roll?
Wes and Felton’s pick & roll defense and rotation help is non-existant. They get lots of easy chances with the pick & roll cause we always switch.
At least we’re hitting our shots and getting to the free throw line.
I will get sick if I see one more switch
where Durant winds up being guarded by Felton. Durant had some misses there, but that won’t keep happening.

we need Patty ASAP, huh, ann ?
:-)
He’ll show the naysayers !
From what I am hearing about Felton, worth a try. He had some good outings last year as backup.
I guess he has to heal a while though. Of course that gives Greg a cheerleader in rehab.
The best would be announcers that knew basketball and ask the players, but had absolutely no fandom or interest in the outcome at the same time

That was by far my favorite sequence for tonight.
Westbrook blows a dunk only to be followed by a LaMarcus lob dunk.
where was the goal tend?
They counted it as a miss. Terrible.
Is our defense responsible for bad Durant shootjng? Anyone pirticular did a good job?

One notable difference I've seen in Batum this year

I couldn’t believe the reports of “not being assertive” blah blah. If anything, he seems like a man on a mission this year.

BATOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LET THE LAMONSTER ERA BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the okc announcers are pretty fair, especially concerning fouls. don’t like them much regardless, but i appreciate that.
they sound annoying, but they are certainly less
“homer” than ours. But I love Mike & Mike
One of the two.
One whines and the other corrects him.

Since when does KD miss free throws?
I know where I come from, and when you always have in mind where you come from the rest will be easy. I think the rest will be easy.
-- M. Rivera
This is gonna sound nuts and people will say I'm crazy but
Durant has choked in so many important games that I’ve seen, the game winner the other night was almost sort of a shocker for me when he hit that shot vs. Dallas.
Maybe I just need to watch more of him vs. other teams because Durant seems to not do a whole lot in the 2nd half vs. Portland particularly in the last couple years. Maybe he wears himself out playing defense.
Crawford
Not in the game

he's not scared he's tired
dude is still taking it right at Perkins, one of the league’s best paint defenders. That ain’t scared.

We would be
The worst team in the league
Without aldridge
(and crash’s hustle)
Right now we have a chance, so love him. Be nice to him.
alot of teams would be the worst team in the league
without there 2 best players.
Red means run, son, numbers add up to nothin
That attitude will force him into early retirement.
I know where I come from, and when you always have in mind where you come from the rest will be easy. I think the rest will be easy.

sounds like a familiar
method for overusing players
What a complete turn around
from the beginning of this game-I had confidence they would come out strong after the half

still time, no jinx.
knock on wood.
right meow
I just loved Batum blocking Westbrook like he was a child. Palmed that shot almost
WITH ODEN ON OUR SIDE
Need to finish this strong
so we can all meet in the empty OKC W2LC postgame thread
Both teams are playing as controlled as possible
Ending up in a lower tempo game. Glad the Blazers can still play slow too when the game grinds down
russell westbrook looks like a teenage mutant ninja turtle.

Miami would kill OKC in a NBA Finals matchup.
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are 100x the player Kevin Durant is.
"I Am Mine"
For one, OKC can't execute late game offense consistently.

CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Durant's exhausted
walking down the court.
Johnson, Johnson, Smith, Smith, Thomas, Williams, and Babbitt: the Blazer's law firm.
yeah this
99 out of 100 times that ends in an LMA dunk
Guys got 28 points
and one bonehead decision.
Johnson, Johnson, Smith, Smith, Thomas, Williams, and Babbitt: the Blazer's law firm.
Seemed more like he decided to lay it up.
Just too late.
Johnson, Johnson, Smith, Smith, Thomas, Williams, and Babbitt: the Blazer's law firm.
still got his shot though, weird.
He’s still the heart and soul of our team. Guys a beast. I can deal with one missed play when he’s had this kinda game.
LMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LET THE LAMONSTER ERA BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i'm more afraid of Russel getting hot
than durant at this point

wow even I was ready to catch that lob, I saw the whole thing develop Aldridge saw it too
WITH ODEN ON OUR SIDE
i know I think it definitely is a sign of tiredness though
WHAT Player wouldnt wanna PUNCH DOWN a dagger dunk ?
WITH ODEN ON OUR SIDE
I think we learned something in this game though...
when we play them in the future wallace can abuse durant in the low post… tire him out and get him in foul trouble… that could be huge
WE ARE DOMINATING the Western Conference favorites
ON THE ROAD
Batum Shakalaka
I am still in shock Aldridge missed that. What was he thinking? Big shot he just made but LA needs a hug. He is too uptight when
the game is on the line.
He was thinking
“I’m gonna miss this to tick BRoyinThe4th off”.
by ParticleAccelerator on Jan 3, 2012 7:16 PM PST up reply actions
Aldridge and wallace were laughing at it just afterwards. They seem fine.

New year, new Blazers?
It feels like a switch was flipped tonight. Love that we’re getting in OKC’s heads.
Major shame.
Didn’t have high expectations for SA even with Manu.

good for us, we need to the perrenials to die off already. SA, LA etc
OSU '06
GForce Crash Wallace FTW!
Aldridge OR crash
Would probably end his existence, so I’m okay with it.
Rice, calling out L*ker fans...lol
Batum Shakalaka
Wonder what westbrook just said toLMA
by cavejunctionblazer on Jan 3, 2012 7:24 PM PST reply actions
Yeah, he can at least put the ball on the floor and create good looks driving to the hoop.
Kevin Durant and his high dribble would just turn it over. I can’t stand guys with high dribbles, for it bugs the heck out of me.
"I Am Mine"
What was the final call on that???
LET THE LAMONSTER ERA BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need to run the clock down and get a good shot
Typically we can do one or the other, but not both.
With a 7 point lead, I'm fine as long as the possession burns clock.
When it’s a three-possession advantage under a minute left, things should be secure.
"I Am Mine"
What a game
I cant wait for Daves recap on this one!
by cavejunctionblazer on Jan 3, 2012 7:25 PM PST reply actions
Should've burned the entire clock, but meh.
If it was a five-point lead, then that’s a good move to the hoop.
With a seven-point lead, the shot clock should be burned entirely.
"I Am Mine"
Good thing he missed that layup
Haven’t had many of those tonight…
UUGGGH
how many layups are we gonna miss?
nice reb/steal by felly tho plus 2 fts

this God Awful nickname is still hanging around?
let it die people – it’s just terrible in every possible way.

Phantom Call On LMA!
LET THE LAMONSTER ERA BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There's a reason OKC has to go to Russ in late-game situations.
It’s ’cause KD has no handles and god-awful court vision. Same things I rip Nicolas Batum for, so fair is fair.
"I Am Mine"
His handles have looked better to me.
Though I agree with the court vision.

by heybabydrinkyourmilk on Jan 3, 2012 7:28 PM PST via mobile reply actions
I'm a middle school teacher and go to our schools games all the time...
And I don’t recall seeing this many missed lay ups before. Unreal
I don't know guys, Felton doesn't seem too shabby, he just needs to calm down a little.
I could be wrong, but he looks a tad trimmer since preseason.
He looks nearly out of control with his dribble most of the time.
I hope it changes but it doesn’t look good to me.
by JeffePortland on Jan 3, 2012 7:30 PM PST up reply actions
they gotta give our WCF match-up a chance

Guys like Crash and Marion are great matchups against KD.
This was shown in last season’s WCF and also tonight’s game.
"I Am Mine"
I got a feeling some of the "experts" are going to jump on the bandwagon.
After half of ’em projected us to miss the playoffs. smh
Batum Shakalaka
they forget that although we are hard on him sometimes
…we have a pretty good coach.
Just think how much better our team is going to look & play
with some experience playing together.
"Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes, but no plans."
All over but the crying
love it.
Johnson, Johnson, Smith, Smith, Thomas, Williams, and Babbitt: the Blazer's law firm.
he really had a huge 4th
singlehandedly stole some points from them with his defense
by Peteyhasnohead on Jan 3, 2012 7:32 PM PST up reply actions
Batum has been very active and aggressive all year
his offense will come, but I like the aggression. Rebounds by game for Batum:
5,5,6,8,7. for a SF playing 24 minutes a game that is impressive
