Gameday Open Thread: Blazers vs. OKC

Tough game tonight. The Portland Trail Blazers visit OKC to play the team that is no longer the Sonics (Early tip-off! 5:10pm). Can the Blazers pick up a big win versus a Western Conference contender? Can Wallace and Aldridge bounce back on the road? Can we get through the game without a bunch of grumbling? We'll find out soon.

Blazers broadcaster Mike Barrett reports that Thunder starting two guard Thabo Sefalosha is out with a "sore foot" and James Harden will start instead of coming off the bench in his usual sixth man role.

Let's relax and have some fun tonight. Go Blazers! -- Tim

Interested to see what LMA does tonight

Last game against the Clips he had a couple of solid moves inside that managed to find their way into the few highlights.

Do we see a big night from him tonight? Nate will probably emphasize playing inside out after the loss to the Clips.

LMA has looked tired and off his game these last few games tonight looking forward to seeing if he can gain it all back tonight…this okc team could blow us out the 1st quarter I hope we play as a team and play some defense!! the other night reminded me of alot of frustration these last few yrs

Harden will reportedly start in his place

Thin OKC bench tonight, but scary firepower in the starting lineup.

by BaylessFace on Jan 3, 2012 4:20 PM PST up reply actions

Except

we match up pretty well with them on D. G3 is a Durant stopper and Wes$ should be able to D up Harden. Westbrook is the only one I’m worried about, but if Camby and control the paint in our starting line we should be fine. Then Batum and Crawford can really control the game off the bench.

I say let Durant have his, we just need to make sure that westbrook and harden don’t go off.

FB = Free Buffet?

I hear that is a popular option in OKC.

My main worry in this game is Felton getting torched by Westbrook.

Secondarily, losing the inside game to Perkins and Ibaka.

Hopefully the starters show up tonight

I love that the bench can score now but putting in Crawford to bail out the starters because they can’t score smacks of failure.
