Gameday Open Thread: Blazers vs. OKC
Tough game tonight. The Portland Trail Blazers visit OKC to play the team that is no longer the Sonics (Early tip-off! 5:10pm). Can the Blazers pick up a big win versus a Western Conference contender? Can Wallace and Aldridge bounce back on the road? Can we get through the game without a bunch of grumbling? We'll find out soon.
Blazers broadcaster Mike Barrett reports that Thunder starting two guard Thabo Sefalosha is out with a "sore foot" and James Harden will start instead of coming off the bench in his usual sixth man role.

Interested to see what LMA does tonight
Last game against the Clips he had a couple of solid moves inside that managed to find their way into the few highlights.
Do we see a big night from him tonight? Nate will probably emphasize playing inside out after the loss to the Clips.
Harden will reportedly start in his place
Thin OKC bench tonight, but scary firepower in the starting lineup.
Except
we match up pretty well with them on D. G3 is a Durant stopper and Wes$ should be able to D up Harden. Westbrook is the only one I’m worried about, but if Camby and control the paint in our starting line we should be fine. Then Batum and Crawford can really control the game off the bench.
NO I WILL NOT RELAX, TIM.
Just kidding! Thanks for all that you do for this blog, buddy.;)

From Freeman:
Blazers front office cap guru Joe Cronin says Camby’s picture is Dwight Lewis who played in the D-League.
I wonder if he recognized him, or like used Google Goggles or something
Hmmm, I think I’ll try that now!
Nevermind, a quick check shows that Google is declining to include facial recognition features for privacy reasons
He’s just got a good eye.

I think we have a chance tonight
I say let Durant have his, we just need to make sure that westbrook and harden don’t go off.
I agree lets hope OKC is tired from their loss last night.
"Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes, but no plans."
It will be more stoping Westbrook
as G3 is a Durant stopper.
A win tonight will put the Blazers #1 in the Western Confrence!

Own the boards against this team and we win. You can miss a lot of shots but it you get all the rebounds you win.
Limit Turnovers. Cupcake needs to control the ball tonight better especially against Westbrook
And help defense will be key when Westbrook blows by Cupcake.

As long as Felton controls himself on the FB...
I like our chances against anyone
Batum Shakalaka
FB = Free Buffet?
I hear that is a popular option in OKC.
My main worry in this game is Felton getting torched by Westbrook.
Secondarily, losing the inside game to Perkins and Ibaka.

46 TOs in the last 2 games
We are so lucky that we aren’t 2 – 2 right now.
Hopefully the starters show up tonight
I love that the bench can score now but putting in Crawford to bail out the starters because they can’t score smacks of failure.
We've got to Run Run Run and wear them down
By the 4th hopefully Durant will be too tired to hit shots.
put a body on 'em
Trying out the Blazers streaming option now.
Seems promising. I hope we see a resurgence in LMA tonight.

the coolest thing since sliced bread. Step 1. Steal team. Step 2. Move team. Step 3. Act entitled.
Hot sauce in my bag.
That's not it for me.
Sure they had a bunch of luck to get two stars, and a couple of very shrewd moves by the GM. It’s the stolen team and attitude that gets me.
