MUCH More!! Like a Double scoop, extra large dish!!!
that guy’s so exciting to watch. And he really looks confident. He obviously has a learning curve to go through, but I’d like him to get the chance to do that.

Thanks for the highlights -- didn't see the game
That was quite the push-off by Telfair there.
Someone mentioned in another thread that Williams has a bit of a swagger about him, and you can definitely pick that up in his brief time on the court.
this dude can freaking fly!
I can’t believe how quickly he gets to the rim.
What is the main downside of this young fellow?
Ok I changed my signature. Do you like it better now?
I've been wondering that too
in his limited time I haven’t seen much reason for him to not be playing.

it's true that Elliott
has great hops and can finish a good amount of the time at the rim, and his shot has been steady for a rookie who seems to show little to no nervousness on the court.
However, his handles need improvement, his defense is subpar— though his energy is there, and he struggles with turnovers and sloppy play, not to mention he’s a shoot-first guy whose habits are closer related to Jamal than Wes Money.

Gotta take issue with this
If you are talking about college then his defense certainly was not subpar, he was considered the 3nd best defensive guard in his draft behind Avery Bradley. He did average nearly 3 TOs per game in college but he also average nearly 4 assists, not really supporting the shoot-first assertion you make.
If OTOH you are talking about his incredibly limited NBA minutes, there has been some bad rookie moments but he hasn’t turned the ball over at all and his D has been active and effective. A 31 minute sample size is a nothing though….we really don’t have a clue what he could or would do at this point.
A final note, I don’t know why you are holding Wesley Matthews’ habits up as something to aim for – he’s a streak shooter who provides little value when his shot isn’t falling. I’d avoid those habits.

Ugh
2nd best guard

I seem to remember Armon Johnson being considered the #2 defensive guard in that draft
But yeah, Elliot was supposed to be at least an energetic, committed defender, if not a very good one. At the NBA level, I think Williams will end up being better, since he’s a little less physical and foul prone.

Phase 2: ???
Phase 3: Profit!
E will can't hold Was$ jock at this point.

I like the Wes Money nickname
Cos that’s what he’s taking….dude is straight stealing PAs money and providing little value in return.

Wes is a below average starting NBA SG
I don’t get the adulation. Give Elliot the type of opportunity Wes got in Utah and he’d be a better player rather quickly I’d imagine. Partly because he’d actually play good defense, not just have a reputation for it, and also because he could handle the ball and pass without making boneheaded turnovers on a regular basis.

the E. Will play that stuck in my mind was him being stripped when he went up for his first dunk
after an offensive rebound.
It was a little embarrassing.

not to mention he fouled on that block by hitting Telfair in the face
Telfair wipes blood from his mouth after complaining to the refs s as I was watching the game live. The PHX announcers, who were awful broadcasters all night, were dead on correct in noticing this blown call. The refs were ready for the game to end too, and thats why the foul went uncalled.

So what's wrong with bloodying Telfair's lip if the refs don't call a foul?
Still an amazing athlete. Extra points for E. Will for blood.
He ain’t gonna get any better on the bench.
LaMarshmallow - Distant Memory.
Watch that replay again. Williams would have blocked Telfair's shot cleanly.......
…had Telfair not pushed him off.
Yeah I saw that too.
Don’t get me wrong I’m looking forward to seeing this kid do well in the NBA. I just don’t see anything that merits more than scrub minutes.
Hmmm...Do you not see...
…his athleticism?
…his confident jump shot?
….his hustle?
….his quick first step?
All he’s had is scrub minutes…31 of them according to a comment above…I’d say given that extremely limited opportunity, he’s raised quite a few eyebrows.
