Zone Offense is Offensive
Watching the blazers struggle against a basic 2-3 zone is really hard to watch. I have a couple thoughts about how to improve this small aspect of our offense.
If Nate is going to stick with the starting 5, why not have LA and gerald switch their positions? Have LA working the baseline/corner, and have GW working the free throw line slashing area. As-is, gerald is getting the open look from the corner 3, but he isn't a good shooter at all, so he either misses the open look or tries to make a different play (pass/drive). Put LA in the corner, and he can actually make the open jumpshot when the ball rotation gets it to him and allows GW to crash the boards from a soft spot in the zone. Having Gerald working in soft free throw line area allows him to drive, pass, or shoot a more manageable shot.
The best option against the zone would be to play batum for either wallace or camby, depending on the defensive players out there. Having nic and wes out there together stretches the defense and both guys look to move the ball around and both can make an open shot.

the easiest solution would be for the guys to make a couple 3 balls from time to time.
our 3pt% is sad :(
