Dear Comcast SportsNet Voiceover Guy (a rant)
Dear CSNNW Voiceover guy,
The vowel sound in 'Blazers' is a long 'a' sound. We are not called the 'Blizzers.' We have never been called the 'Blizzers.' We will never be called the 'Blizzers.' Long 'a,' Blazers. Blay-zers. Blay-zers. Blay-zers. Say it a thousand time.
I would estimate (and I feel like this is being fairly forgiving) that 98 percent of first-language English Americans can say 'Blazers' correctly, and the other two percent plus all ESL Americans could learn easily--especially if they were given a VO job. How in the world did you get voiceover work for the Blazers?
Perhaps I should seek counseling, but you make me angry, sir.
Sincerely,
A Frustrated Blazers (remember now,' Blay-zers') Fan
