Gameday Open Thread: Blazers vs. Warriors

So, we reach the end of the first Blazer back-to-back-to-back since 1998. And it's a doozy. Tonight, the Blazers visit Oakland to play the Golden State Warriors (late 7:40 tip-off). It's no secret that the Warriors have our number down there, plus they've been resting since Monday. Can Portland win tonight and sweep their b2b2b?

[Note: The NBA extension deadline is at 9pm tonight. There is no sign of a Batum extension, but watch Ben's post for further updates]

Read: Dave's Preview | Blazersedge Night 2012 is a go! | Blazers Media Notes | Facebook | Ben's updates on Twitter
Watch: KGW (Portland) | Blazers live streaming | NBA League Pass (National) | KING-DT2 (Seattle: Comcast 115, FIOS 460)
Listen: 750 AM The Game (Portland) | NBA Audio League Pass (Free)

The usual rules apply:

1. No swearing | 2. No pictures | 3. Be Nice!
4. Don't discuss unofficial game streaming

And, of course, have fun. Go Blazers! -- Tim

this was expected as the blazers had no real benefit in giving him a big offer now.

nic’s market rate is pretty well established now. no one will likely overpay for him.

and with PA’s resources, we have no real fear of a team stealing a RFA from us.

one other thing to consider is to possibly hold out on signing a big FA

sometimes I wonder if we would have different superstars in the nba if their were no referees to dictate the game.

like……..would lebron and kobe be as good as they are if they didn’t have the referees to baby them and help them win games all the time. curious

My guess: The superstars would be just as good, but would be on a more level playing field. The difference would be lessened.

IMO, his character concerns are overrated.

The non-court appearance was absent mindedness on his part, not maliciousness. He was a good leader on the 2008 championship team, and was not one of the two KU players in that draft class who was caught with pot at the rookie symposium.
