If Eddy Curry can do it, so can Greg!
Watched Eddy Curry's triumphant return to the court the other night for the Heat and started thinking. If Eddy Curry can do it so can Greg! Blazer fans I know we've been through a lot, but you gotta remember, there is light at the end of the tunnel! Most people, including myself promised we wouldn't discuss Greg Oden again until he was physically able to play and out there on the court. Well, after watching Mr. Curry play for the first time in almost 2 years and actually make a difference for Miami I've changed my tune! People talk all the time about what this team lacks and what it's missing. The answer awaits us, and his name is Greg Oden! Maybe this prolonged absence is just what he and we needed! Think about it, this teams main weaknesses are a strong post presence, easy buckets and rebounding! Greg comes back problem solved! Yeah I know it's easy to say but aren't we as Blazer fans due! How many teams have gone through what we have? Drafting Bowie over Jordan, game 7 in LA, the "Jailblazer" era and now losing a once in a lifetime talent like Brandon Roy, in the prime of his career! All the while, the Rose Garden sells out every night, devoted fans such as myself spend 200 bucks on league pass, all to watch the team we love! Any other franchise in the NBA would have relocated several times but not us! I know it's hard based on Greg's history but now he's had the time to actually grow into his body! Just seeing him on the sidelines tonight I thought to myself this guy is massive! And in an era where quality centers don't grow on trees, why should give up on the one who fell into our laps! Blazer fans I believe and I hope you do too! This should help, listen to this song and just imagine Greg returning to the court and helping us beat the Heat in Game 7 in Portland to win the NBA Finals! It could happen, but you gotta Believe!

Besides, Eddy Curry is playing for a team other than the one that paid him a big contract all those years.
If anything, the equivalent would be Greg Oden signing with another team this summer and playing for them next season. Which, by the way, is very, very possible.
"I Am Mine"
you know, you’re a real joy.
Apparently not giving up on Brandon or Greg paid no dividends. Whatever... Go Blazers!!!

I'd be efficient at it, for better or worse.

Amare and the Phoenix medical team is a more apt comparison.
I read once that Grant Hill resigned with the Suns because of their medical staff, which has kept him on the court. I know where I’d want to go if I were Greg Oden.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Oden will NEVER play another game in a Blazers uniform……and he might never play another game in the NBA.
at this point, greg as we wanted him is a mythical unicorn.
It would take a miracle by ICP to bring him back the way we need him to be.
i like it here, there, everywhere.
says you!

I feel like it is Disrespect to the great Greg Oden
To ever compare him to Curry
Greg has been Injured
Curry is a total loser who has never cared about anybody but himself
Just one mans opinion
La Illaha Illallah Muhamadur Rasulallah
I hear you man...
but up to this point Curry’s actually done a lot more in his career. Granted he’s been in the league longer.
Love the positivity man!
But after reading some comments, others are right in the sense that Oden should not be compared to Curry.
Rebounding/Post presence isn't our current problem...
That was last year’s problem. Camby/Thomas/Smith/Aldridge are a significant upgrade from last year’s crop of Forwards/Centers. Not to say G.O. wouldn’t be a HUGE help but still…our problem has been our gaurds. Our SF is clearly set with Wallace/Batum but Felton/Matthews/Crawford have all been SUPER inconsistent. They’ve all got great talent, but until we can count on consistent performances…every game is a toss-up.
