Gameday Open Thread: Kings vs Blazers

UPDATE: Marcus Camby has a "mild groin strain" and may not return tonight.

The Blazers caught fire to the tune of a 20 point lead in the second quarter, but a halftime heave by Tyreke Evans cut the lead to 15 at the half. Hang out here and discuss the second half! -- Tim

why does everone think this game is a blowout?

this is a classic Portland special where we destroy the opponent, let them back in it as the clock winds down, then finally try hard enough to eeek out a 7 point victory. Don’t get to excited to see the deep bench.

The comforting part about Wes' funk

is that last year around this time he was shooting like 25% from 3pt, and ended the season on about 40% from 3. Hopefully he shapes up come mid season n beyond

More like he’ll go one some nice shooting streaks as well as slumps like he’s in now that will eventually average out. What’s good about Wes is he finds other ways to contribute when his shots not falling.

…but he plays like a punk and I don’t like him as a player.

I don’t really care about him on a personal level and he may be the sweetest li’l cupcake in the world off the court but his attitude sucks on the floor and he seems like a poisonous teammate. It’s all about him and he plays little to no defense. LaMarcus and The Rhino both used him. When a guy like Craig Smith literally blows by you… you’re NOT trying.

I don’t know what to think of this trend, but it does seem like the guys unconsciously view Batum as a non-option. On Felton’s pass to Crawford it looked like he was determined to pass to Jamal first. Granted, Crawford kinda had a hot hand, but still. Unfortunately Batum is just a fluffer for the other guys.

15 point game with 3:11 left

Putting scrubs in could easily make this a game again.

Blazers up by 15 with 3:11 to go...

What is wrong with Nate??? If anyone gets injured it’s totally on him. Does this guy get a bonus for a bigger point differential at the end of the season?

LMA has 6 TOs dam

but atleast he avgs like less than 2 over the season. That is pretty good for a main offensive guy who plays 40 mins

But this was not so for Brandon Roy who listened to teammate Nicolas Batum, "You're an All-Star, a 3-time All-Star. Take the ball. They can't stop you. You just have to believe in yourself."
