The top 3 West teams are from the NW Division?

According to the daily updated Jeff Sagarin ratings over at USATODAY.COM, the top three teams from the Western Conference are all in the Northwest division.

According to the rankings, Oklahoma City is #4 overall, behind Chicago, Miami and Philly of the East. The Atlanta Hawks are 5th, Denver is 6th, Portland is 7th. Utah, of the NW division is 12th overall, and 7th in the West. Minnesota is 17th overall, and 11th in the West.

The East may have 4 of the 5 at the top, but they also have the 7 worst teams: Boston, New Jersey, New York, Toronto, Detroit, Charlotte, and Washington.

Is it safe to say the NW division is the strongest in the West, and the NBA?

Utah, Denver, OKC and Utah will all make the playoffs.

Four out of five ain’t bad.
And Portland will be 2nd in the NW, 4th in the West. And they’ll make the conference finals.

The NW is by far the best division in basketball

If Minny wins its next two games every team in the division will be over .500

Our division is amazing

What if (doubtful) every team makes it to playoffs? would that be the first time ever?

by DonttrashCrash on Jan 21, 2012 10:44 AM PST reply actions

That'd be crazy

And not sure if it’s been done.

Who would of thunk it?

After the news of BRoy and Greg, the league wrote the Blazers off, as well as DEN and UTH. Look at us now. Experts, are they…pfft.

Portland will finish third behind OKC and Denver.

Utah’s hot start is a mirage. It’ll be below .500 by season’s end.

I take it back after the

2-4 roadtrip and loss to 3-13 Detroit, the Blazers arent a playoff team and sure as hell wont finish 2nd in the NW.

Look at the NW division alone

OKC 7-2 ON ROAD
DEN 6-3 ON ROAD
MIN 3-4 ON ROAD
UTH 2-3 ON ROAD
POR 3-6 ON ROAD

Portland is the worst.

But OKC lost to the worst team in the league

thats disgusting right? Lets stop over reacting….we are 16 games into the season.

hahaha oh man they are gonna miss the playoffs for sure!!

theres just no way the blazers can do it they just suck to much….. they beat the lakers the nuggets the clippers, the thunder but they wont make the playoffs. i could care less about one game portland will get a top 4 seed in the west. blazer fans if your just going to get on here and cry like babies dont watch the games then you wont be so upset cause obviously you take it to harshly
