feed the rhino!

Don't take this too seriously, but we need to get this guy more minutes. I'm not saying he is an answer of any sort but I have to say he is my favorite scorer to watch on our team. He doesn't hesitate, he doesn't dance around, he doesn't head fake, HE TAKES IT TO THE RIM! Head down, nostrils flared and when he picks up his dribble.............pushes his massive arms and the ball held between his powerful meat hooks...toward the rim. Thats what this team needs and thats what the rhino delivers. He's too small.......Is he? He is a lot of things but I don't think small is one of them. Dudes a mountain..a bulldozer...AAAAA RHINOOOOOOOOOOOO!

like that, at the very least he can soften up their interior lineman.
He is a good change of pace back

I am a big fan

I love the fact that he takes it to the hole without hesitation. I wish aldrige would take onto some of the poser game that the rhino brings. I would say he is underrated for the time. As of late he is getting more pt and delivering.

What a pleasant suprise!

And he's got a jumper too!

So you can’t back off him. It’d be tough watching him being backed down by a 6’10 pf but his offense is on point!

a very smart passer too

He's definitely good on the block

Probably the best true low post threat on the team. Too bad he doesn’t have a jumper. Then again, the blazers couldn’t afford him if he could.

I know less than half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

He's my favorite Blazer this year.

I don’t care if he throws bounce pass turnovers. I don’t care that he doesn’t have flashy moves. I’m not even sure if he can jump higher than I can. One thing I do know — he’s fun to watch, he dives to the floor for rebounds, he isn’t afraid to score in the paint, he follows his shots… So far, I haven’t seen anything stop him, except playing time.

Mine too!

I dunno why, but I have a thing for players who “look like they are playing the wrong sport.” He’s really fun to watch and definitely underrated as a scorer/passer. Hope he gets more minutes!

I love him against second units.

He’s good enough to get his there. Against starters? Depends on the team. But it is wonderful to have the consistency Craig brings. Batum goes from All-World to invisible from night to night. Smith does the same thing each game, and does it well.

Yess!

Hopefully Nate continues to give Nolan minutes so that Jamal can be a shooter instead of a thinker! Because when Jamal thinks too much other people’s games suffer! Nico for instance. Rhino too! They don’t see the ball enough to get into any type of rythym when Jamal is pounding the rock. If I were nate I’d consider letting Batum try and initiate the offense every now and then. Nico’s proved he can handle the ball. He did it overseas, I know this is the NBA but the only way to get better at something is to do it! People have compared him to Pippen for a reason, I’m not saying he can be Pippen but the potential is there! Go Blazers!

The Rhino

is the pleasant surprise amongst the other new players with hype this year Felton, Crawford. I went from not knowing who he was, so looking forward to his next show on the court. FEED THE RHINO!

Yeah i'd never heard of him

Did not expect him to be a pretty solid back up.

He creates a mismatch, and knows how to exploit it. Someone correct me if i’m wrong but i think he’s making less than a million a year. Underpaid if that’s the case.

by moflow on Jan 22, 2012 10:54 AM PST up reply actions

it depends on how many years in the league

storytellerscontracts.com has him at $992,680.

bright spot last night

He scored twice in a row down the streatch to bring it to a one point game then on the third time down to take the lead Nate gave him an iso and he stettled with a 19 footer I wish he would of pounded it down the face of them becasue he seems to never fail inside 5 feet, maybe the rest of the team should learn from that.

by DonttrashCrash on Jan 22, 2012 8:57 AM PST reply actions

Easily the biggest surprise this year

He is so much better than I thought he would be. I don’t know why he isn’t getting around 20 minutes off the bench, he’s definitely earned it and we need to relieve some of our guys anyway
