Not a bad idea
I think we could get a guy like Jason Thompson for pretty much nothing. The word on the street right now is that they do not even plan on re-signing him. He has produced at a decent clip when provided minutes. He can plug in at center and PF as a 6,11 who weighs 250. If we got him on trade if possible get sign and trade or he is cheap enough that would could risk trying to talk him in to staying. I woudl worry that a lot of guys will get bigger offer due to left over money from free agency race. Thoughts?

i've always wanted jason thompson
and if they really don’t plan on signing him then we should be able to get him for very little…hopefully.

Yes
I have seen spurts against the Blazers that show potential, but a aleck of coaching or confidence might be to blame. The vets and LMA would help.
but who would we give up for him?
they are not going to give him away for our scraps.
Given the post on the front page about Felton...
I would say him. If a point guard is going to lose for us, it might as well be a young guy who can learn from it.

I'd imagine he'd get more playing time than Luke is receiving
Is he a good character guy who would fit with the team culture?
