idk what the big deal is
a self ally-op on a break away dunk by McGee in front of the home fans. Seems just fine to me, but I guess the Wizards are uptight about these things because their players are “dumb” enough to try to one up it later.

When you are the 2nd worst team in the league
you need to focus more on winning then looking cool.
yeah i guess
I just feel that because the Wizards are so bad, and because of all the knuckleheads, people are overacting to a dunk that wasn’t that risky.

To me its not the fact that it was risky
had he missed it that would be the issue. To be its just dumb, you are the worst team in the league and your trying to show off? how bout you show off by beating someone and having a winning record.
they were losing the game.. that's what i had an issue with. do the huge highlight reel play when you're winning the game.

Weirdly enough, I both have a problem with the play, and don't.
Ways that I do have a problem: First, the player comes across as very selfish in the situation, making himself look good. Second, of course, he’s doing that during a loss. It’s like being down 54-7, scoring a touchdown, and doing a celebration dance. It’s poor form.
But that being said, I really don’t have a problem with the play. The city has nothing to be excited about right now. If this can infuse some excitement and attendance (in the “we may not win but we’ll be flashy”, which is basically the Wolves’ entire marketing approach right now), I can accept it.
The problem, of course, is that the player wasn’t trying to get the fans excited in a blowout, he looks like he was just trying to make himself look good. So I get why he was benched.
i think you nailed it!

If the Wizards have a huge problem with that play
Then why did they bring back Young, Crawford and Blatch? But, it wasn’t a smart play given the situation, so if I wasn’t for the Wizards organization I would totally agree with you.

One of the ESPN shows specifically brought up the Wiz org when discussing this
For similar reasons. Blatch is a classic example. If they want to use their assets to clean house and try to rebuild around Wall, this is a good time. Get some 2012 picks and a couple players with promise, and roll with it.
If Mcgee wants to win
we could use him. Just don’t bring your losing ways with you.
Maybe he was trying to make himself feel good.
Whenever I do something fancy on the court its to exude my mastery which gives me confidence.
Could have really hurt James Jones with that one.
If it were Blake Griffin, it probably would have been called a foul ON J.J. though.
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

Getting in the way of ESPN getting a highlight real dunk of the night.

Here's my favorite.
Von Wafer playing against the Wizards. Maybe the Javalle rubbed off on him.

lol the best part of that
is that Von Wafer didn’t realize the dunk didn’t go in haha.
