I'm venturing to guess that management probably prefers to keep Nic over Wallace.

Not because he’s better, but his game fits better to Aldridge. LaMarcus gets the doubles so they want a guy who has a more dependable jumpshot when Aldridge can’t get a shot.

by Stryder9 on Jan 14, 2012 6:24 PM PST up reply actions

Sucks

N smith hasn’t been able to anything. Cole and Morris both picked after are getting quality minutes and experience. Both on better teams then PDX. Good drafting and good coaching.

True

Nate looks out for Nate. Long term development is not his thing. Win now lose early in playoffs. Get 7million by looking stern and short term wins.

Fun fact

Raymond Felton is tied with Lamar Odom for lowest 3P% in the NBA, minimum 30 attempts. 17%.

by robrun2 on Jan 14, 2012 6:38 PM PST reply actions

So basically he shoots a worse % than Andre…only difference is at least Andrew barely ever attempted shots he knows he can’t hit.

thank god

i thought he was the lowest

by meRoy on Jan 14, 2012 6:40 PM PST up reply actions

I'm seeing that Aldridge's motor is a lot lower than ever thought.

It’s not exactly that he’s “LaMarsha” but rather he’s not a high motor guy like Wallace that can scrap for the rebounds night in and night out. So on a good night like last night he might get 7 rebounds (he’s not a rebound hound anyway) but on a second night of a back to back, his energy is just anemic.

by Stryder9 on Jan 14, 2012 6:39 PM PST reply actions

In tight situations, I always had confidence in Andre

,like, not turning the ball over, putting pressure on the opposition, finding a way, actually showing leadership on the floor. That was a big loss in my opinion. I get uneasy at hearing ‘Felton bringing it up’ in a tight game now.

Hey, draw a foul !

what a concept !

Best case scenario if he drills these

by AP_18 on Jan 14, 2012 7:40 PM PST reply actions

Gack

Kevin Durant won me over when he went Rocky IV on Russia this summer.

by blazeraddict on Jan 14, 2012 7:40 PM PST reply actions

lucky call

that should have been no foul.

PHILLY!

by CleBlazer on Jan 14, 2012 7:40 PM PST reply actions

If the chance occurs, go for win or tie?

by AP_18 on Jan 14, 2012 7:41 PM PST reply actions

alright go for the win then lol

by AP_18 on Jan 14, 2012 7:41 PM PST up reply actions

Win

Kevin Durant won me over when he went Rocky IV on Russia this summer.

by blazeraddict on Jan 14, 2012 7:41 PM PST up reply actions

But would have never touched him without Kevin moving FORWARD

That’s my problem with the call. Kevin initiated contact.

by Timmay! on Jan 14, 2012 7:43 PM PST up reply actions

The problem however Timmay!

Is that Batum jumped FORWARD at him. Once you do that and contact is made, even if initialed by the opponent, it s a foul

Henne is the greatest and the Dolphins will go 14-2 this year and win the SB

by zeusmith on Jan 14, 2012 7:44 PM PST up reply actions

If he jumped straight up in the air no foul

Henne is the greatest and the Dolphins will go 14-2 this year and win the SB

by zeusmith on Jan 14, 2012 7:44 PM PST up reply actions

Exactly.

I’m not saying the call was wrong, I’m saying if the call is correct, the rule is wrong.

by Timmay! on Jan 14, 2012 7:46 PM PST up reply actions

Not saying it makes sense

But this is how the NBA does things. As such, it wasnt a bad call. I would like to see this rule changed however

Henne is the greatest and the Dolphins will go 14-2 this year and win the SB

by zeusmith on Jan 14, 2012 7:46 PM PST up reply actions

Again, I never once said it was bad call, to be clear.

I said I hate that call. Because the rule is wrong, like rip-through last year.

by Timmay! on Jan 14, 2012 7:47 PM PST up reply actions

THAT'S MY PROBLEM

Both players should have the right to the space. If Nic is in the air, and will land safely, the offensive player should not be allowed to ram into him. Period.

by Timmay! on Jan 14, 2012 7:45 PM PST up reply actions

I agree Timmay

The NBA’s rules are too skewed to the offense because they covet scoring

Henne is the greatest and the Dolphins will go 14-2 this year and win the SB

by zeusmith on Jan 14, 2012 7:47 PM PST up reply actions

It is an awful call.

But so was the Wallace call.

by RenoBlazerFan on Jan 14, 2012 7:43 PM PST reply actions

Game

But this was not so for Brandon Roy who listened to teammate Nicolas Batum, "You're an All-Star, a 3-time All-Star. Take the ball. They can't stop you. You just have to believe in yourself."

He’s had a great game, but that is a bad mistake

by CleBlazer on Jan 14, 2012 7:44 PM PST reply actions

Heck yes, this was a terrible game... I can't believe the Blazers have played so terrible

the last few games! What has happened? Why do we have Crawford? He is killing this team, his chucking is ridiculous! Can we get someone else? Batum played such a good game and yet, he’ll be shadowed by JC…errr!

by Mrmora on Jan 14, 2012 7:48 PM PST up reply actions

Alright now we need that big win streak

by AP_18 on Jan 14, 2012 7:44 PM PST reply actions

Man... I'm so frustrated, why am I even a fan...

the coach irritates me, the team lacks heart and allows mediocre team to school them. I guess I’ll just be a Heat fan!

If we don't get some shooters to make shots...

We’re done!

I’m tired of waiting for Crawford and Felton to start making shots.

#7... GO BLAZERS!!!

by Ilikeemall on Jan 14, 2012 7:46 PM PST reply actions

Ya need more then one on the floor at a time...

That’s why when they shut Nic down in the 4thq and OT we didn’t have anyone else to hit anything. A defense can take ONE shooter away but it’s a lot harder when there is one on each side of the floor.

#7... GO BLAZERS!!!
