So sleep deprived...
Had an absolutely insane night, got no sleep and my body and mind is telling me to call it quits and go to bed. But no, I say up to watch the Blazers.
The smarter you are, the more likely you are to be tripping balls at any given moment.

What do you guys think about DeMarcus Cousins?
I would be willing to take a risk on him, but not if it would cost too much.
Batum Shakalaka
I would be very willing to pick him up
We need a C and he happens to be on a cheap rookie scale deal. Armon and Babbitt? haha i know I’m dreaming.
Look at Zack Randolph
A little maturing can change everything.
Johnson, Johnson, Smith, Smith, Thomas, Williams, and Babbitt: the Blazer's law firm.
Good point
but we’re also stocked with professional, level-headed veterans. A nice calming atmosphere.
Johnson, Johnson, Smith, Smith, Thomas, Williams, and Babbitt: the Blazer's law firm.
Yep, the concept that a good team can handle one less stable player. Totally get it.
But much like Zach, I presume DMC’s maturation will be as much about age as environment. I can’t say this applies to DMC, but in general, when someone is young and dumb, only one thing changes that.
Yeah
That’ll probably be what happens. That or he pulls a Latrell Sprewell and washes out. I don’t even think it would be a great trade, we’d probably have to give up Camby/Thomas and Craig Smith. Not a bad trade, but I like our chemistry now.

Not to mention
We could really use a players who reduces the average age of our centers to something below 38 (not counting CJ)

Ugh, so much for their exciting new streaming
I can’t even get it because I live in a comcast service area? THE ENTIRE REASON I WANT IT IS I DON’T HAVE COMCAST.
Christ almighty…
"We Believe" - Rudy Fernandez
If you're in an area that doesn't have Comcast but can't get streaming, there's supposed to be a form available
I couldn’t get the form to come up, so it’s possible there’s a coding problem there. But if you enter your zip code and it says “you have comcast”, definitely look for an option for a form.

Chris Paul has been very very good, but not CHRIS PAUL GOOD.
I wonder if he’ll only take it to the extreme when they get to the playoffs.
I think Chris Paul is going to have a similar end to his career that Roy had. His knees have slowed him down. He's
still good but he is not as consistent as he once was. He could have 25 and 15 tonight or 8 points and 10 assists.
LMA is 21ppg and 7 assists so far
but seems like a very quiet 21/7. I am about ready for him to bust out a big game tonight. Also, how about a complete game for both guards AND forwards (instead of one or the other)?
Seems like it could be a fun game however you slice it— Go Blazers!
I can't help myself. I want Denver to win tonight. They should have won last night.
Hopefully Gallinari can redeem himself.

Sooo... Why can I watch every game on league pass except the Blazers?
I only get audio for the blazers
Nearly sure it is.
If you’re in broadcast territory, these games are blacked out, except on Comcast Sportsnet.
If you’re in an area that doesn’t get that network, you can use their new streaming option for a small fee.
Yep. Comcast purchased the rights to broadcast the games, so this is the benefit
On the bright side, if they hadn’t purchased them, we’d probably be seeing 20 games a year on KGW, and a really expensive per-game price to stream them.
UGH
I’m on vacation….in Palm Springs, CA. So I’m blacked out anyway.

Aldridge has to play better. I know he got off to a slow start last year but he had plenty of time to get better this off season.
I get that he took a week off which throws off everything but he is too good to not put up big numbers against this Clipper team. He should drop 30 tonight.
I'm never, ever impressed with the "he's in the top 10 in free throws made" stat.
I’m weird that way.

Yay I am getting the Mike/Mike feed on League Pass
I actually like em. I guess I am in the minority around here
They're usually better than watching the opposing team's feed.
That being said, I like a slightly more balanced approach while still being in favor on the Blazers. M&M haven’t been too bad this year so far. A lot less “he traveled with the ball, then he…” moments.
yeah I prefer fair commentators, even if they are paid by the team
I like barrett, but not a real fan of Rice.
I like watching them
They may be biased, but they most are anyway. Mike Rice has an ungodly feel for the game, some of it’s obvious like feeding LMA early, but sometimes its more like watch for random player X do Y, and it happens exactly like that. Maybe he knows what plays they are setting up I guess.

well, Trailblazer Stream not working for me
Says Sorry, I’m not in the approved area, even though I am. My ISP is centurylink which I believe shows a WA IP address….so how are they going to work around your ISP’s issues?
wake me in 2012
You don't get CSN NW in your area on Frontier or Comcast?
If it’s really wrong, I know the Blazers are working on it. They seem really serious to get this system available to everyone who doesn’t have access to the games.
yes...i filled out a contact form. I'm in Lincoln City...no CSN, no Comcast, but I know centurylink shows a WA IP address so
I’m sure that is the problem

Ok, that's just messed up on CenturyLink's part
That should never happen. Hmmm I’m going to go see if that’s a known problem for them.

Im on Century Link DSL out in country north of Eugene,
they approved my zip code, but then said I was out of area when I tried to watch,… so I think it is IP. I sent them that form with explanation, but never heard anything back …
a good laugh is a mighty good thing, and rather too scarce a good thing; the more's the pity. So, if any one man, in his own proper person, afford stuff for a good joke to anybody, let him not be backward, but let him cheerfuly allow himself to spend and be spent in that way. And the man that has anything bountifully laughable about him, be sure that there is more in that man than you perhaps think for.
yeah, I should get all of my neighbors to complain :-)

Same problem for me
I’m still relying on the League Pass preview, but I tried to stream the game just to see how it would work. The Blazer website says that my zip code will allow me to stream, but I get the same message. I also have Century Link. I filled out the form, too. Hopefully it’s fixed by the time the League Pass preview ends.
If this is a problem specifically for CenturyLink, I'd put odds that the Blazers are grumbling and working on it
Where in WA does it say you are?
i know this wasn't directed to me but...
In google “news near you” I get all Seattle news
wake me in 2012
hahaha Sunnyside (near Richland)
wake me in 2012
That's a wow for me.
That makes no sense. Your IP is apparently getting Geolocated to the closest hub.
This reeks of laziness on CenturyLink’s part.
It says Eugene
But I am in Florence, which is an “approved” region.
Hey if you guys are around, can you privately e-mail me your IP addresses?
If you’re not sure what that is, just go to this site, and give the IP number they list.
If you’re uncomfortable doing this, no problem! It’s no biggie. Just trying to see what’s happening here.
I am in Seaside and it says I'm approved.
Then when I try to stream, it says I’m not in the approved zone. Another publicity fail. When are they ever going to get it together?
Sigh…….
Being 'over the hill' is much better than being under it!
Dan Harbison of the Blazers stopped by to explain that.
The zip code checks if you’re in an area that might not have CSN. Then, it also checks your IP to locate you in more detail.
If you’re on CenturyLink, that’s apparently a problem for some folks tonight.
Checked IP address...

But as a guy who deals with this stuff, I’ve got to say, your ISP is doing you wrong here.
You should consider calling them, and asking them why your IP is being listed as in Vancouver WA, and explain why that’s a problem for you. They should be aware that you’re unhappy about this too.
I will but it still seems like Blazers might mention this MIGHT be a problem.
I am very sure there are people out there that do not have or use the help (like Blazersedge) available. Just bad PR as many people will just assume it is Blazer’s fault.

There's no icon near his name when he has the ball in his hands
It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong. I am NOT a big man.
Lakers and Nuggets in another good battle...Memphis suffering from last year was a contract yearitis
Still him and Marc were in contract years last year and have not looked good so far
And where has Conley been?

Was that the longest 1st qtr in the history of basketball or am I in a time warp?
#52--------I believe in Greg Oden
yeah it looks like he doesnt know what to do after taking 2 steps with the ball
WITH ODEN ON OUR SIDE
Because
of one bad pass and a missed shot?

Almost as bad
As watching the Cowpieboys play on NBC. Almost.

We are getting some big breaks
this could easily be a fifteen point game if some calls go the other way clips hit their open looks

Definitely not a recipe for victory on the road.
This is a team who was likely to be inconsistent on the road.
This crowd is annoying me a little.
They have the “we expect every call to go our way” syndrome, even the ones obviously on LAC.

I have a scissors in my hand.
Stab my eyes out or cut my internet cable?
If it's Centurylink, I vote for Cut the cable!
wake me in 2012
This team mishandles simple passes and misses more easy tips ins...
..then any i can remember.
If they every just learn to pass, catch, and shoot 3 foot shots they’ll be pretty good
Instead of interpreting the turnover disparity in the Nuggets game as an anomaly
The Blazers seem to have taken it as a challenge.
Blazers are stinking up BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LET THE LAMONSTER ERA BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope the Ducks aren't watching this for inspiration
wake me in 2012
We are going to get blown out
by veteran teams if we keep turning the ball over like this. Somehow teams haven’t really made us pay thus far.
Hot sauce in my bag.
I hope that Nate tells them that there is an ocean nearby that they can throw it in.
LET THE LAMONSTER ERA BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look on the bright side: As bad as this is, at least the Blazers don't have DeMarcus Cousins...

Seems like he is the only one hitting
Then again, I’m making dinner and only half paying attention

lucky the clips can't make an open three either
"Some things you just can't question. Like you can't question why two plus two is four. So don't question it, don't try to look it up. I don't know who made it, all I know is it was put in my head that two plus two is four. So certain things happen. Why does it rain? Why am I so sexy? I don't know."

Instead of trying to "lay it up" perhaps they should try to jam it in someones grill?
At least you might get a foul call…our look badass when you miss. :)
We may be turning it over and missing everything
But we’re still only down by 5

Good whining helps
It makes officials pay attention to you. Bad whining makes them ignore you. It’s a fine line . . .
Steve Goodman lives.
Aw, but that Duncan "exasperated" face is just too cute
It’s also the only emotion he ever shows.

Havn't been very impressed with Felton so far this season...he's a TO machine
…and doesn seem to get the offense flowing smoothly
The Clippers' center is not the same guy who played shooting guard for the Bulls?
seems like it right now
That was one of the UGLIEST halfs of basketball I have ever seen.
LET THE LAMONSTER ERA BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember tons of LaMarcus alley oops last year.
Did it go away with Dre, or is it more Camby’s thing?
Dre took it with him to Denver
Hopefully that sort of connection between LMA and Felton will come with time..
Dre and teams game planning more for it since they lead the league in alley-oops

Aldridge doesn't seem to have his full strength and legs so far either this year
by TheOdenator52 on Jan 1, 2012 7:44 PM PST up reply actions
Hopefully that's conditioning
And not a side effect of a heart condition (praying to five different gods, now)
Steve Goodman lives.
Dre and LMA held the #1 spot for oops last year
alas, that seems to be a thing of the past….sigh
wake me in 2012
andre had feel for lob passing that few do,
and last year that was specially true with passes to aldridge
