So sleep deprived...

Had an absolutely insane night, got no sleep and my body and mind is telling me to call it quits and go to bed. But no, I say up to watch the Blazers.

The smarter you are, the more likely you are to be tripping balls at any given moment.

Yep, the concept that a good team can handle one less stable player. Totally get it.

But much like Zach, I presume DMC’s maturation will be as much about age as environment. I can’t say this applies to DMC, but in general, when someone is young and dumb, only one thing changes that.

Yeah

That’ll probably be what happens. That or he pulls a Latrell Sprewell and washes out. I don’t even think it would be a great trade, we’d probably have to give up Camby/Thomas and Craig Smith. Not a bad trade, but I like our chemistry now.

If you're in an area that doesn't have Comcast but can't get streaming, there's supposed to be a form available

I couldn’t get the form to come up, so it’s possible there’s a coding problem there. But if you enter your zip code and it says “you have comcast”, definitely look for an option for a form.

I wonder if he’ll only take it to the extreme when they get to the playoffs.

by Cablinasian on Jan 1, 2012 6:05 PM PST reply actions

I think Chris Paul is going to have a similar end to his career that Roy had. His knees have slowed him down. He's

still good but he is not as consistent as he once was. He could have 25 and 15 tonight or 8 points and 10 assists.

by BRoyInThe4th on Jan 1, 2012 6:09 PM PST reply actions

LMA is 21ppg and 7 assists so far

but seems like a very quiet 21/7. I am about ready for him to bust out a big game tonight. Also, how about a complete game for both guards AND forwards (instead of one or the other)?

Seems like it could be a fun game however you slice it— Go Blazers!

Nearly sure it is.

If you’re in broadcast territory, these games are blacked out, except on Comcast Sportsnet.

If you’re in an area that doesn’t get that network, you can use their new streaming option for a small fee.

by Timmay! on Jan 1, 2012 6:31 PM PST up reply actions

Yep. Comcast purchased the rights to broadcast the games, so this is the benefit

On the bright side, if they hadn’t purchased them, we’d probably be seeing 20 games a year on KGW, and a really expensive per-game price to stream them.

GF's car has a huge trunk

And a little latch under the lid, in case someone sticks you in there. It even has a diagram showing a stick figure pulling the latch, then running away. Not sure how you’d see that diagram in the dark, but it’s still pretty funny. Apparently somebody at Chrysler thinks this is a common problem . . .

Yay I am getting the Mike/Mike feed on League Pass

I actually like em. I guess I am in the minority around here

by RenoBlazerFan on Jan 1, 2012 6:32 PM PST reply actions

They're usually better than watching the opposing team's feed.

That being said, I like a slightly more balanced approach while still being in favor on the Blazers. M&M haven’t been too bad this year so far. A lot less “he traveled with the ball, then he…” moments.

by Timmay! on Jan 1, 2012 6:34 PM PST up reply actions

I like watching them

They may be biased, but they most are anyway. Mike Rice has an ungodly feel for the game, some of it’s obvious like feeding LMA early, but sometimes its more like watch for random player X do Y, and it happens exactly like that. Maybe he knows what plays they are setting up I guess.

The zip code checks if you’re in an area that might not have CSN. Then, it also checks your IP to locate you in more detail.

But as a guy who deals with this stuff, I’ve got to say, your ISP is doing you wrong here.

You should consider calling them, and asking them why your IP is being listed as in Vancouver WA, and explain why that’s a problem for you. They should be aware that you’re unhappy about this too.

Like when they made the new rule...

Where you can’t disagree with a ref about anything. Or react in any way at all. The referees were given too much control, and personal agendas (agendi?) took over.

Turnovers

Should come down in time, short camp and new guys combined with a quicker brand of offense takes time to gel. Still we have to sure up the other weaknesses if we expect to win.

"Some things you just can't question. Like you can't question why two plus two is four. So don't question it, don't try to look it up. I don't know who made it, all I know is it was put in my head that two plus two is four. So certain things happen. Why does it rain? Why am I so sexy? I don't know."
