The Associated Press reports that former Portland Trail Blazers guard Rudy Fernandez, who was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in a 2011 NBA Draft day trade, has officially signed to play for Spanish club Real Madrid during the ongoing lockout, and possibly beyond. -------------------------------- Dallas Mavericks forward Rudy Fernandez has signed for Real Madrid's basketball team during the NBA lockout. Madrid says Fernandez has agreed to play in Spain in the midst of the ongoing labor negotiations. The deal includes an option for Fernandez to play with Madrid once his contract with the NBA champions ends. -------------------------------- The framework of this deal was first reported in August.
