Berger: Blazers Coach McMillan To Attend Ducks, Seahawks Practices

12

Portland Trail Blazers coach Nate McMillan joined Brian Berger on 750 AM The Game to discuss a variety of topics. One of the more interesting points of discussion: McMillan plans to watch the University of Oregon Ducks and Seattle Seahawks go through their practices. ------------------------ "Coaches are going around right now speaking at clinics, they're going to sit in on different programs. Oregon has had some success. They've been doing some good things down there. [Ducks coach] Chip [Kelly] has had some unbelievable success over the last year or so. People are interested in how those guys do things. I'm interested in going down myself. I was scheduled to go down last week, had some things come up, but I will get down to watch their practice as well as going up to watch the Seahawks facilities and watch those guys practice also." On Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll "We've had the opportunity since he's joined the Seahawks to have a few conversations. He came out and watched us play at one of the scrimmages we had up there. We've had several conversations on the phone. He's invited me to their practices. I go up there occasionally to watch a game. He does some great things. He's had a lot of success. Even though that is football it's a team sport and sometimes you can pick up a few things from successful coaches like that." ------------------------ McMillan also said he is a fan of the Seahawks and the Pittsburgh Steelers. -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
