Trail Blazers Announce [Theoretical] 2011-12 Broadcast Schedule

From the team:

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Trail Blazers have announced that all 82 games will be broadcast in high definition for a third consecutive season, highlighted by a 77-game local broadcast schedule.

The Trail Blazers will air 60 games on Comcast SportsNet Northwest (CSNNW) and 17 on KGW Northwest NewsChannel 8. All KGW games will also be broadcast throughout Oregon, SW Washington and the Seattle area on the Trail Blazers Television Network.

The five games not included in the local schedule will air exclusively on TNT, ensuring that all 82 games are slated to be televised.

Mike Barrett, a 12-year veteran of the Trail Blazers broadcast team, enters his ninth season handling television play-by-play duties. For the seventh straight season, he will be joined on the broadcast by color analyst Mike Rice, who begins his 22nd overall season behind the microphone for the Trail Blazers.

All Trail Blazers preseason and regular season games will be broadcast on KXTG 750 AM "The Game" and all other affiliates on the Trail Blazers Radio Network. Play-by-play voice Brian Wheeler (14th season) and analyst Antonio Harvey (seventh season) both return, as does Jay Allen, who will host the pre-game show and provide post-game interviews from the locker room.

Season and partial season packages, group tickets and suites are available now. Call 503-797-9600 or visit trailblazers.com for more information.

No announcement yet on whether Comcast will be more widely available.

You can find a .pdf link here or simply view the schedule after the jump.

Had my first debate of the season with a guy about Greg Oden's long term value

I am hoping beyond belief that there can be a season so I can be proved right.

At this rate...

Greg will be in the league for years to come.

If there is no league, are you still an NBA player?

Philosophers will discuss questions like this for ages

If Oden's Knee shatters, but no one hears it

will insurance cover?

It doesnt make sense to be anything but optimistic,

I played 1 on 1 with my LA and Roy bobbleheads today to pass some lockout time. LA’s talks which is cool. He won the game, then I had to improvise with Roy talking, " my knee hurts , and I need the ball more", ;)

Let’s get this season started !

" I'm coaching here " ...... Nate McMillan

Can we revisit this schedule once the lockout season starts?

And just have Dave and Ben write fake recaps and media row reports for the games that didn’t happen?

I for one would like to know how the fictional games play out.

Not only would this keep many of us going through the non-season, it would seem so real (and make up an important part of our Blazer game experience) that a year or two later, we may forget the games didn’t happen.

I’ll start working on possible captions just in case.

I've always thought it was sort of odd

that the Blazers (and I’d assume the rest of the league) are running commercials for season tickets and whatnot in the midst of the lockout.

At the very least, it seems like false advertising, selling tickets for something which likely won’t occur. At the worst, it could be fraud, selling tickets for events they are (arguably) actively trying to make not happen.
