Maxey: Chris Kaman Says Marcus Camby Trade Was "Ruthless"

41
Brother Wendell Maxey is pulling some great quotes from EuroBasket. Here's a Beyond The Beat feature on Los Angeles Clippers center Chris Kaman, who was a teammate of Portland Trail Blazers center Marcus Camby prior to Camby's trade to Portland during the 2009-2010 season. --------------------------- "I remember when Marcus (Camby) was traded to Portland (in 2010). We were actually at dinner in Portland when he got the call that he was traded. I couldn’t believe it. It just goes to show you how ruthless this business can be." --------------------------- At the time, there were reports that Camby was "very upset" about the move and that he immediately left the restaurant when he heard the news. He eventually settled in and signed a two-year contract extension with the Blazers. -- Ben Golliver | benjamin.golliver@gmail.com | Twitter
