Just a  question here.  Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place. 

If a player were to get traded prior to the lockout, does anybody know if the receiving team would be able to cut the new player as part of the amnesty clause (if there even is one).?  For instance, could the Blazers trade Roy to a team that's trying to cut salary, and then that team could cut Roy's contract and save the cap space?  If this could happen, wouldn't this make Roy a valuable trade option right now?
