A lot of things need to happen for the Blazers to be a contender. First of all, Paul Allen needs to hire smart personell in the front office, but then let them do there jobs. Rich Cho was extremely intelligent, he is showing that in Charolette, but that is a different topic, and not why I wrote this article. I was just throwing that out there. The reason I am writing this is because I have an idea of what can solve some of the Blazers' scoring and depth issues.
has opted out of the last year of his contract with New Orleans. I know that he just came off a season ending knee injury, I get it, I do. West is a young 31 years old, and with his pick n' pop/ roll style of play, he could be good for quite a while. My belief is that his torn ACL will heal just fine, those injuries usually do. If things panned out, he would be a fantastic super sub for Aldridge. Paul Allen is not a build for the future owner- at least not anymore. Allen wants to win now, and that is a win now solution.
What do you guys think?
