OK... I'm generally a 'withhold judgment until the season starts' kind of guy when it comes to any offseason deals. That said, I'm about as unconvinced as I've been after any draft day in recent memory that the best effort was made to improve the team.
The one big thing that people don't seem to be talking much about is whether these were just the first of more transactions to come this summer... Was draft day just the beginning of a bigger plan? What were/are considered (feared, even) to be our most desirable trade assets remain with the organization for the time being (Batum/Matthews/Wallace), but could one or more of them yet be dealt as part of another, bigger deal?
Such speculation is trivial, perhaps, yet I just can't help but feel that the organization (front office disarray notwithstanding) could possibly feel like they've done all they can to improve the team before next season just with the deals that have already been made.
Will we see more moves before next season starts?
