Let's give Allen Iverson a shot!!
Allen Iverson has made it very clear that he'd like another shot in the NBA. Granted, he has made some mistakes in the past and he's getting older, but it's not often that you can grab a star of his quality off the open market and most likely for not too much money. We know he'll settle for minimal pay and has stated that he'll settle for any role on any NBA team. We just picked up Felton and we have some young guards that could benefit from having an experienced all-star on the roster. He's still got a few good years and could be a game changer at the point.

I would have gave him a chance in training camp
if Andre was still the starting PG but trading Andre = going young. Sadly Camby is probably the next to go, hopefully for a consistent starting center like Emeka Okefor.
Get it done... Paul.
You have to be kidding me.
Iverson is a shoot-first guard who is old and does not fit on this team. We have no need for a no-pass scoring guard on his last legs as he has no place in our long-term strategy. He’s better off going to a contender who needs scoring off the bench (a la the Celtics), not a team in desperate need of frontcourt help still two years away from contending.
Green light
I say pick him up and give him the green light to jack up shots in the second unit! We can go small with Smith, AI, Roy, Batum and Oden (when he returns). That is a beast of a unit and we bring some drama back into the fold!
No and No
And further more No, Nahh, Uh-uh, Nada, Negatory and No Way.
No.
I am not for this.
I do not like it Sam I am.
Why not?
Really what do the Blazers have to lose, bring the guy to summer league let him show how his game has changed and how he has matured in his old age. He would be an amazing addition to the second unit that seems to have troubles scoring. If we need a bucket he could get it!
first of all summer league was cancel
2nd of all no way Iverson would ever play in the summer league.
3rd of all he refuses to play unless he starts, our 1st unit has no room for him
4th of all just plain no – hes a terrible teammate right now we need a little cohesivness

I cant believe 36 votes so far say YES!!
Sorry, not trying to be harsh but Allen Iverson would be the WORST idea in a Blazer uni Ive seriously ever heard. He fits no where in our first unit and he refuses to play unless hes starting. His stats are way inflated because he is a one man team ball hog. Hes also a terrible sport and a terrible teammate. He seriously ruined the like 3 different teams lockers rooms with his bad attitude. Never would I want this to happen. Sorry.

I voted no
But then read the post from Lonny24 – which makes sense. I dunno.
Yuck no.
We have enough guards on the roster right now. If you’re going to talk about getting somebody crazy and full of drama on the team, you need a bigger guy. I’d rather have Metta World Peace over Allen Iverson.
Hell, I’d rather have World B. Free than Allen Iverson.
